Big fire at warehouse in Viet Hung ward (Hanoi)

At about 6:30 p.m. on September 6, a fire broke out at the warehouse in front of the Thong Nhat match factory (Ngo Gia Tu street, Viet Hung ward, Hanoi).

Initial information, at the above time, people discovered the fire started from a warehouse in front of the Thong Nhat match factory (Viet Hung ward). After only a few minutes, the fire was raging, black smoke rising dozens of meters high.

Many people living near the scene quickly ran away to avoid being affected. Upon receiving the news, the functional forces of Viet Hung ward quickly arrived at the scene to put out the fire and support the people.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force mobilized many specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading. Because the factory contained flammable substances, the strong wind made the fire difficult to extinguish. The police used specialized vehicles to break the wall to approach and put out the fire inside.

By around 7:30 p.m., the fire was basically under control. Authorities continued to completely extinguish the fire and assess the damage caused by the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
