The provincial Association of War Veterans has fully implemented the Central's instructions and guidance to its staff and members, creating a high consensus in awareness and action. Chairman of the provincial Association of War Veterans Vu Cong Tien said that the Association is coordinating to develop a Project to merge the organization of the War Veterans Association of the three provinces of Lam Dong, Dak Nong, and Binh Thuan , ensuring compliance with regulations and close to practical requirements. According to the guidance of the Central Vietnam Association of War Veterans, the organization and apparatus of the provincial and city-level War Veterans Association will be unified according to specialized departments including Organization - Inspection; Propaganda - Movement; Consulting - Synthesis. The arrangement of personnel will be carefully selected, meeting the standards and capacities according to regulations to effectively implement the Association's tasks.
The provincial Association of War Veterans also directed the local Associations of War Veterans in the province to proactively develop plans to stabilize the organization and operation of the Association after the merger in accordance with the direction and policies of the Party and the State. The Associations at all levels must prepare well for personnel work and hand over work in a reasonable and scientific manner. "The stabilization of the organization of the Association of War Veterans at the commune level after the merger needs to be implemented quickly and synchronously. Association officials must clearly define their responsibilities and proactively get to work right away. Faced with the requirements of operating under the new model, the emulation movement also needs to be renewed; emulation targets must be reviewed, supplemented appropriately, and allocated to the grassroots for effective implementation," the Chairman of the Provincial Association of War Veterans emphasized.
In Lam Ha district, preparations were carried out proactively early. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phi - Chairman of the District Veterans Association said: "We have instructed communes and towns to prepare complete documents and summarize the results of the implementation of tasks for the 2022 - 2027 term, in order to serve well the handover to the new administrative unit. If a congress is held, the new commune Veterans Association will have sufficient information to conduct the first grassroots congress in accordance with regulations". The Lam Ha District Veterans Association also set out directions for activities and implementation of the 2025 resolution; in which, it emphasized the work of propaganda and raising awareness for cadres and members about the policy of restructuring and streamlining the apparatus. Similarly, in Duc Trong district, preparations were also carried out seriously. Mr. Mai Van An - Chairman of the District Veterans Association shared: "Implementing the policies and directions of the superiors, the grassroots Associations in the district always uphold the spirit of initiative and readiness. The Executive Committee of the Association also held a meeting to deploy key tasks in the coming time, ensuring that the Association's activities are maintained continuously and without interruption."
One of the important requirements in the process of arranging and perfecting the organization of the Veterans Association at all levels is to prioritize the selection and arrangement of cadres with sufficient capacity, qualities, experience and prestige. The Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association clearly directs, prioritizes the selection, arrangement and use of the president and vice president of the Veterans Association at all levels as retired military officers, ensuring the standards and criteria according to regulations. These must be cadres with strong political will, good moral qualities, experience, capacity, prestige, recommended by the Party Committee and trusted by the Veterans Association. On the other hand, the attention to implementing the regimes and policies for the number of cadres of the Veterans Association at all levels in the implementation of the arrangement of the organizational apparatus must also be strictly ensured, in accordance with regulations...
It is expected that from July 1, 2025, the new administrative units will officially operate under the two-level local government model. This is an important step in the process of innovating the state apparatus, towards streamlining, effectiveness and efficiency. For the Veterans Association, proactive and flexible adaptation during the transition period is of great significance in order to continue promoting the position and role of veterans in the new situation; especially in the task of building and protecting the Party, the government, the socialist regime, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of veterans.
