Da Nang strives to export software to reach 161.8 million USD

The Da Nang Department of Information and Communications has just announced that in 2023, the total revenue of the information and communications industry is estimated at 36,571 billion VND, an increase of 8.1% compared to 2022; software export turnover reached 147.8 million USD, achieving 101.25% of the plan, an increase of 12% compared to 2022.

To date, Da Nang has established foundational databases and approximately 100 shared specialized databases; 400 Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring devices providing real-time data; and the DanangChain platform is being developed… Notably, the digital administrative procedure results database not only helps citizens and businesses avoid submitting paper documents but also helps government agencies eliminate/reduce approximately 180 administrative procedures that require re-issuance due to damage or loss…

In 2024, Da Nang's Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector set the theme "Popularizing digital infrastructure, creating digital applications to develop the digital economy - A new driving force for economic growth and labor productivity". The entire sector strives to increase revenue by 8.9% compared to 2023; software export revenue is expected to reach US$161.8 million.
