CAHN Club received a red card and... scored a goal
The match with Ho Chi Minh City Police Club is considered a difficult challenge for Hanoi Police Club (CAHN Club).
Because coach Alexandre Polking's team had to play against Macarthur in AFC Champions League 2 in the middle of the week, they only had 4 days to rest and recover. CAHN also played 5 more matches than their opponents since the beginning of the tournament, in the context of many key players such as Quang Hai, Nguyen Filip... playing up and down due to injuries.

Difficulties soon appeared for CAHN Club in the match against HCM City Police Club (evening of October 27), when Van Do was sent off in the 20th minute due to a foul. Referee Le Vu Linh showed Van Do a red card and reserved his decision after consulting VAR.
However, CAHN Club still has a better playing style and adaptability than HCM City Police Club. Having to play with one less player, Polking's students prioritized defense, but still counterattacked effectively thanks to sharp attackers like Quang Hai or Alan Grafite. In the 35th minute, Alan showed his class as the best player of last season, when he ran to receive a long pass from his teammate, pressed past both center-back Gia Bao and goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang of the away team, then decisively shot with his left foot into the empty goal, opening the score for CAHN Club.
In the opposite direction, Ho Chi Minh City Police Club created opportunities, the most obvious of which was when foreign player Makrillos had a chance to swing his leg to shoot in the 15th minute, but was blocked by Van Do.

After Van Do received a red card, Ho Chi Minh City Police Club rushed forward to pressure Hanoi Police Club, but their coordination was disjointed, leading to easy defeat.
Balance
After the break, Coach Le Huynh Duc directed the HCM City Police Club to put more pressure, especially on the two wings to open up crosses inside for Makrillos and Tien Linh.
However, CAHN Club was still the sharper team. Without much possession of the ball, Coach Polking's students still launched quick attacks with smooth and fluid passing thanks to the rhythmic movement of the squad.
In the 51st minute, Thanh Long passed the ball to Quang Hai on the left side, before the midfielder born in 1997 crossed to set up Alan Grafite. However, the foreign player of CAHN Club hesitated, and then missed the opportunity to increase the score to 2-0.

In the following minutes, the carelessness of the HCM City Police Club's defense continuously opened the way for Quang Hai and Alan Grafite to have the ball right at the edge of Patrik Le Giang's penalty area. Unfortunately, the indecisive actions of the home team CAHN Club in the crucial situation caused the opportunity to pass.
Ho Chi Minh City Police Club put pressure in the last 20 minutes of the second half, especially when Hanoi Police Club withdrew both Quang Hai and Alan from the field to focus on defense.
With the opponent giving up the game, coach Le Huynh Duc's team attacked more clearly. In the 75th minute, Van Toan escaped to face the ball, but in the decisive moment, Adou Minh rushed in to make an accurate interception, saving CAHN Club from conceding a goal.

In the 84th minute, it was Quoc Gia's turn to create an opportunity. The midfielder of the HCM City Police Club tried his luck with a long-range shot, but the ball just missed the post.
The best chance for Ho Chi Minh City Police Club came in the 90+1 minute, when Van Toan passed the ball accurately with his left foot for Tien Linh to break the offside trap and head the ball. However, the ball still missed the goal.
Squandering their chances in the rare minutes of good play, Ho Chi Minh City Police Club lost 0-1. Coach Le Huynh Duc and his team ranked fifth with 14 points.
Meanwhile, CAHN Club rose to second place with 17 points, only 3 points behind the leading team Ninh Binh . And don't forget, CAHN Club still has 1 match left to play.
