Towards the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), art units have created art performance programs focusing on Dien Bien Phu, praising the victory "Resounding throughout the five continents, shaking the world" of the Vietnamese people, demonstrating the intelligence, bravery and spirit of the Vietnamese people in the new era.

On the evening of May 4, at the Hanoi Opera House, the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater organized a special art program with the theme “Dien Bien Memory”. The script and general director of the program were People’s Artist Tran Binh and his crew.
The program has the participation of People's Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, singers Xuan Hao, Hoang Viet Danh, Thanh Thao, Trung Sy, Hue Thuong, Thoi Gian group, Phuong Nam group...
According to the Organizing Committee, the program “Dien Bien Memories” will bring the audience back to the story of the nation 7 decades ago, through heroic but extremely romantic songs such as “Bo Doi Ve Lang”, “Em Be Muong La”, “Tinh Ca Tay Bac”… with the desire to relive the historical period of the nation with veterans, parents and rekindle national pride in today's young generation.
The program opened with a medley of songs from Dien Bien today, including "Northwest Love Song" (poem by Cam Giang, music by Bui Duc Hanh), "The sound of the flute in the blooming season" (poem by Nguyen Nhu, music by Le Minh). In particular, there was a new song composed by musician Tung Lam - "Dien Bien Memories".
Next is a musical space created by medleys that have gone through the years, elaborately staged, showing the heroic living and fighting context of our army and people during the years of resistance against the French.
People's Artist Quoc Hung shared, "The 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory is a very big anniversary, everyone wants to sing in the programs celebrating this important event. I am honored and proud to sing in the program "Dien Bien Memories", with the works of musician Do Nhuan "On Him Lam Hill" and "Binh Tri Thien Khoi Lua" by musician Nguyen Van Thuong.
Singer Viet Danh shared that as a soldier and an artist, he felt extremely lucky and happy to be able to perform in the program “Dien Bien Memories”, right on the occasion when the army and people of the whole country are looking forward to the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory. The male singer expressed that he was proud to be able to sing songs about Dien Bien, about the historic victory of the nation. And he will strive to find creative ways to express himself to bring the public deep feelings about the work.

Towards the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the Vietnam Circus Federation is performing the art program “Living Forever with Dien Bien”, launching on May 4, 5, 11 and 12 at 67-69 Tran Nhan Tong, Hanoi.
Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, said this is not only a circus art program, but also an opportunity for artists to express their hearts, feelings, and gratitude to those who sacrificed their blood and bones for the country's independence and freedom, and made efforts to convey history through art.
Using circus language, the program "Living Forever with Dien Bien" will recreate historical stories with heroic and tragic tones.
The art program “Living forever with Dien Bien” was built with the idea of turning the circus stage into a large sand table showing the whole Dien Bien Phu victory. From the audience’s position looking down on the circus stage, it will be like a miniature valley, the scenes will recreate the fierce and heroic battles of the Dien Bien soldiers through scenes such as “Heroic Northwest,” “Long March,” “Pet-raising Call,” “On Him Lam Hill,” “Liberating Dien Bien.” Each scene according to each theme will bring the audience to heroic memories of Dien Bien in the language of circus.
In the program, the images of heroes Be Van Dan, To Vinh Dien, Phan Dinh Giot are recreated by artists. The cannon pulling performances, the images of artists transforming into soldiers standing on the roof of De Castries' command bunker, the xoè dance, the bamboo dance... will recreate the heroic atmosphere of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign 70 years ago.
According to People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, the art program "Living Forever with Dien Bien" also brings attractive performances such as bicycle stacking, bamboo dance, acrobatics, juggling, collective pole dancing, leather rope, pole climbing, flag dancing, net jumping, animal circus, springboard, tightrope balancing... The program also has a combination of choirs and singers performing songs about Dien Bien.
The Vietnam Circus Federation will invite some veterans who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign, to bring special emotions, memories, and stories about this historic campaign.
“Through the program 'Living Forever with Dien Bien,' we hope to bring to the audience a circus program that is both artistic and historical, contributing to educating the tradition of remembering one's roots when drinking water, and arousing patriotism in young artists and audiences," People's Artist Tong Toan Thang shared.
