Provincial People's Council delegates meet voters in Hieu Giang commune

On the morning of July 24, in Hieu Giang commune, the Provincial People's Council delegates had a meeting with voters before the 2nd session of the 8th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026.

At the meeting, local voters listened to the Provincial People's Council delegates report on the results of the first session of the Provincial People's Council (after the merger) and the basic contents of the resolutions passed at the session. Voters from communes expressed their high consensus with the results of the session. Voters also made recommendations and proposals on issues related to the socio -economic situation, the operation of the two-level local government, which has encountered some difficulties and problems; the issue of resolving policies for people with meritorious services and a number of other issues related to the agricultural production sector.

In addition, many opinions proposed to continue to improve reasonable policies and regimes for the staff after implementing the 2-level local government model; some traffic signs in the area were damaged, especially the construction section of the expressway overpass in An My and Tam Hiep villages..., requesting the relevant agencies to promptly repair and reinstall them to ensure safety; strengthen communication and guide people about the process and location for handling administrative procedures after the merger.

The delegation of the Provincial People's Council has acknowledged the enthusiastic and responsible opinions of voters; at the same time, emphasizing that the arrangement of administrative units is a strategic step in implementing the policy of streamlining the apparatus and improving the quality of local government operations. It is requested that the Party Committees and authorities of communes continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council; proactively coordinate with all levels and sectors to remove difficulties and obstacles, especially the contents that voters are interested in, to improve the quality of life for the people. The delegation of the Provincial People's Council will receive and synthesize the remaining recommendations to forward to the relevant agencies for consideration and resolution in the coming time.
