This afternoon, Ms. Diane Freiberger, Director General of the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), presented the National Economics University with certificates of educational quality and accreditation for 15 training programs.
This is one of the first universities in Vietnam to complete the FIBAA accreditation process, achieving and exceeding 100% of the required standards. The criteria assessed included: faculty quality, student support quality, curriculum, practical applicability, and the quality of facilities and services.
FIBAA representatives presented certificates to the leaders of the National Economics University.
At the ceremony, Professor Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Quality Management Department, Ministry of Education and Training, stated that Vietnamese universities are increasingly undergoing international quality accreditation , which helps them ensure they meet the requirements for determining enrollment quotas, tuition fees, and international degree recognition.
According to Professor Chuong, the FIBAA accreditation has affirmed the university's success in continuously ensuring and improving the quality of education, further increasing the benefits for learners. In the future, the National Economics University needs to continue to improve its quality even better, incorporating feedback from experts, especially international experts.
Professor Pham Hong Chuong, Rector of the National Economics University, on behalf of the university, expressed gratitude and appreciation for the support from FIBAA in the implementation of accreditation activities at the institutional and program levels.
According to Professor Chuong, the FIBAA standards provide a solid foundation for the university to comprehensively evaluate its activities and individual training programs, especially the teaching and learning process.
The FIBAA quality accreditation process for education was implemented at the National Economics University from the beginning of 2022. By March 2024, the university had completed the institutional-level accreditation process, and by September, it had completed the accreditation process for 15 training programs.
It is expected that by the first quarter of 2025, 84 of the school's training programs will achieve quality accreditation according to various accreditation standards, accounting for 50% of the school's total training programs.
FIBAA is a quality assurance organization of the Swiss government, responsible for the accreditation, evaluation, and development of educational institutions and programs worldwide in the fields of social sciences and humanities, law, management, and economics.
This organization is also a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), the European Registry of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (EQAR), the European University Association (EUA), the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA), and the International Network of Quality Assurance Institutions in Higher Education (INQAAHE).
