Specifically, the National Economics University will recruit 8,500 undergraduate students, including 8,200 regular undergraduate students (compared to 7,950 last year) and 300 regular transfer undergraduate students. The university will recruit for 73 majors (an increase of 7 compared to 2024), including new majors such as: 2 majors taught in Vietnamese (international commercial law, labor relations), 2 advanced training programs (comprising 5 programs), and 3 high-quality training programs (16 programs).

The university maintains the same number of admission methods as last year, including: direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, admission based on the 2025 high school graduation exam scores, and combined admission based on the admission information of the National Economics University. The combined admission method considers candidates with: SAT or ACT certificates; HSA/APT aptitude tests or TSA thinking skills assessment tests; and international English certificates such as IELTS/TOEFL iBT/TOIEIC (combined with the 2025 high school graduation exam scores and HSA, APT, or TSA test scores).
This year marks the first time the Ministry of Education and Training has required universities using multiple admission methods for the same major to convert equivalent scores when determining the cutoff score. However, the National Economics University announced that it will wait for guidance from the Ministry of Education and Training before deciding on the rules for converting equivalent scores for the entrance threshold and cutoff score.
Regarding the conversion of admission scores between different admission methods and subject combinations, the National Economics University will also follow the general guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training and will announce the results no later than the time of announcing the minimum quality assurance threshold for admission according to the general plan of the Ministry of Education and Training (expected after the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam are available).
