(CPV) – On March 3, Ho Chi Minh City National University (VNU-HCM) awarded 29 scholarships worth nearly 1.5 billion VND to graduate students and doctoral students from corporate sponsorship through the Ho Chi Minh City National Development Fund.
Of which, 15 scholarships were awarded to graduate students, each worth 75,000,000 VND, and 14 scholarships to graduate students, each worth 25,000,000 VND.
The postgraduate scholarship program of Ho Chi Minh City National University is implemented according to the Postgraduate Scholarship project approved in 2018, implemented annually starting from the 2019-2020 academic year.
Member units with students and postgraduates receiving scholarships this time include the University of Technology, the University of Natural Sciences, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the University of Information Technology and the University of Economics and Law.
Students and postgraduates will receive scholarships when they meet requirements and criteria such as studying on schedule according to the training institution's plan.
For PhD students, they must study on schedule according to the training institution's plan, have at least 24 working hours/week (at least 8 hours/day) outside of school time for studying and researching at the training institution, have at least 01 article published or accepted for publication in a scientific journal in the ISI-Scopus journal list or have published at least 02 reports in the proceedings of prestigious international conferences, with peer review, published in a foreign language or 02 articles published in prestigious foreign scientific journals, with peer review; or participate in scientific research topics at all levels that have been accepted.
In addition, it is necessary to meet foreign language proficiency standards according to current regulations of VNU-HCM.
This scholarship does not apply to civil servants, public employees, researchers and those with contracts at VNU-HCM./.
