On the afternoon of May 16, Ho Chi Minh City National University held a working session with the delegation of the Central Propaganda and Education Committee and the Central Mass Mobilization Committee on the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 45-NQ/TW, as well as training and developing human resources for the nuclear power plant project in Vietnam.

Associate Professor Dr. Vu Hai Quan, Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University, shared that in order to attract, retain and develop excellent young scientists , after the first 3 recruitment rounds of the VNU350 program, Ho Chi Minh City National University has attracted 27 scientists, including 7 scientists who graduated from the world's top 100 universities to work.
This university also decided to issue a visiting professor program, recently approving a list of 16 international professors and experts from many of the world's leading prestigious universities from the US, Canada, Germany, Japan, etc.
In the field of training and research, Ho Chi Minh City National University implements interdisciplinary programs, basic and applied research, focusing on key areas such as semiconductor microchips, information technology, data science, AI, biotechnology, digital economy , circulation, climate change, green energy, food safety, etc.
This unit has also completed the draft of a unified digital skills framework, in accordance with the requirements of the Central Government and Ho Chi Minh City, with instructions on assessing digital capacity for four groups of subjects in the entire system including managers, civil servants, workers and learners.
Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan emphasized that Resolution No. 57 is a document of strategic significance, demonstrating the country's determination to consider the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as an inevitable choice to move the country forward.
To contribute to the effective implementation of the resolution, Ho Chi Minh City National University puts forward a number of proposals and recommendations, including:
Proposing the Government to allow the registration to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW through the Program "Improving training capacity and basic scientific research integrated with strategic technology at Ho Chi Minh City National University, achieving advanced levels, on par with the region and the world, period 2025-2030, vision to 2045".
Propose that Ho Chi Minh City soon develop a specific mechanism for ordering training, research and supporting investment in developing smart university urban areas at Ho Chi Minh City National University, and at the same time, allocate annual funding to carry out these activities.

Ho Chi Minh City National University also recommended that relevant ministries and branches soon issue practical support policies to promote the effective implementation of the goals set out in Resolution No. 45 and Resolution No. 57.
Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong, Rector of the University of Technology (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City), also proposed allowing Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City to pilot a mechanism of autonomy in deciding tuition fees for international standard programs; Decide to use public assets for cooperation to promote the construction of university urban areas; Establish a long-term investment mechanism for science, technology and innovation...
