2019 Military Traditional Medicine Institute Emulation Congress

( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of September 17, in Hanoi, the Military Traditional Medicine Institute held the Emulation Congress for Victory in the period 2019 - 2024. Speaking at the congress, on behalf of the leadership of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh commended and congratulated the outstanding achievements in the Emulation movement to Win of the Military Traditional Medicine Institute in the past 5 years, especially the 12 groups and 54 typical advanced individuals who were commended and rewarded at the congress. Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh emphasized and thoroughly grasped the viewpoints and thoughts of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh on Patriotic Emulation; Responding to emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense , over the years, the Military Traditional Medicine Institute has always promoted the spirit of initiative and creativity associated with the motto of training "Bright in medical ethics, deep in medical theory, good in medical techniques", striving to build the Institute to be increasingly "Regular, scientific, exemplary, modern", becoming one of the leading traditional medicine units, a bright spot in combining traditional medicine with modern medicine of the Army and the whole country in medical examination, treatment, training, scientific research and production of traditional medicine, meeting the requirements of health care and protection for officers, soldiers and people nationwide. Over the past 5 years, the Military Traditional Medicine Institute has examined more than 714,600 patients, admitted and treated more than 43,300 inpatients; Emergency care for nearly 30,000 people, hospital discharge rate nearly 65% ​​(13% increase compared to assigned target).

To perform well the tasks in the coming time, Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh requested the Military Traditional Medicine Institute to continue to thoroughly grasp President Ho Chi Minh's Patriotic Emulation ideology, the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on emulation and rewards. Continue to innovate the content, form and methods of organizing emulation in accordance with the characteristics and tasks of the Institute. Strive to build the Institute into a prestigious Traditional Medicine Center in the country with full functions of disease treatment, human resource training, scientific research and production of traditional medicine. Carrying out well the work of admission, examination and treatment for soldiers, policy beneficiaries and people, with the motto "Continuously innovating, taking the quality of health care for soldiers and people as the center of service", always maintaining the noble image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", no matter what the circumstances, the cadres, staff and soldiers of the Institute always thoroughly understand and strictly implement Uncle Ho's teachings "A good doctor must also be like a kind mother" in the hearts of the people.

Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh also requested the Military Traditional Medicine Institute to focus on doing well the work of building and replicating advanced models, building outstanding collectives and individuals with wide influence throughout the army and the whole country; researching and building creative and effective emulation models that leave their mark in the medical field. Immediately after this congress, the Institute and each agency and unit need to develop plans and programs to specify the directions and tasks of emulation and reward work for the next 5 years as determined by the congress. In the immediate future, from now until the end of 2024, the Institute needs to organize well the peak emulation period "Proud of tradition - Continuing the feats - Deserving of Uncle Ho's soldiers" and activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day; At the same time, proactively and actively prepare well to successfully organize the Party Congresses at all levels in the Party Committee of the Military Institute of Traditional Medicine, towards the 12th Military Party Congress and activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 2025.

With the achievements in the past 5 years, the Military Traditional Medicine Institute has been awarded 01 Third Class Labor Medal; 02 Emulation Flags and 02 Certificates of Merit from the Government; 02 Emulation Flags from the Ministry of National Defense. 13 individuals were awarded the Fatherland Protection Medal; 42 groups and 78 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of National Defense; 8 individuals were awarded the title of Emulation Fighter of the whole army along with many Certificates of Merit from Ministries, Departments, branches and localities.
