The strongest growth in the ranking of rich people on the Vietnamese stock market is businessman Pham Nhat Vuong - Chairman of Vingroup (VIC).

Mr. Vuong's assets calculated by stock value are estimated by domestic financial sites to exceed 430,000 billion VND, nearly 5 times higher than the same period last year.

According to the latest update of Forbes , Mr. Vuong's total net assets (including stocks and other assets) have reached 18.1 billion USD, equivalent to nearly 480,000 billion VND.

Compared to the same day last year, the above assets have increased more than 4.3 times, marking the most impressive growth among Vietnamese billionaires recorded by Forbes .

This remarkable increase must be mentioned in the story of VIC stock when the market price has increased by nearly 400% after one year. Currently, Vingroup is also the enterprise with the largest capitalization on the floor, far surpassing the second place, Vietcombank .

Mr. Vuong is from Ha Tinh , the first USD billionaire in Vietnam, and Vingroup - Mr. Vuong's corporation - is also the private enterprise that contributes the largest amount to the state budget in the country.

According to the 2025 semi-annual financial report, Mr. Vuong's Vingroup recorded revenue of more than VND130,493 billion, more than double the same period, and after-tax profit of more than VND4,539 billion, an increase of more than 2.2 times. Vingroup's total assets by the end of June this year reached more than VND958,235 billion, a sharp increase compared to the beginning of the year.

The person holding the top 2 position is businessman Tran Dinh Long - Chairman of Hoa Phat - the largest steel company in Vietnam. Mr. Long's assets on the stock exchange are estimated at more than 58,600 billion VND, an increase of 30% after 1 year in the context of HPG's market price increasing at the same rate.

On Forbes , Mr. Long's net worth is listed at $2.9 billion, an increase of $400 million when looking back at the figures listed on last year's Businessman's Day.

This year, both Mr. Long and Mr. Vuong are interested in the North-South high-speed railway project. While Vingroup is focusing on VinSpeed, Hoa Phat has also started construction on a high-speed train steel rail factory.

According to the 2025 semi-annual financial report, Hoa Phat's total assets amounted to more than VND242,224 billion. The business situation improved as revenue and profit grew.

Other businessmen also increased their assets on the stock exchange.

The stock market has been on a positive growth trajectory since April. After a sharp decline due to the tax information, the VN-Index jumped up and continued to be active until mid-August.

Not only did Vingroup stocks surge strongly, the market prices of many other large stocks also increased, bringing business leaders to new heights in terms of asset size.

For example, GEX of Gelex Group also attracted attention when it increased nearly 130% in just the past few months.

The impressive growth helped Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan - General Director of Gelex increase his asset value to more than 12,000 billion VND, appearing in the top richest businessmen on the Vietnamese stock exchange.

In addition, the assets of businesswoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - chairwoman of Vietjet Air, Mr. Ho Hung Anh - chairwoman of Techcombank, Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang - chairwoman of Masan... have also continued to grow stronger after looking back over the past year.

On the contrary, FPT has become the worst performing stock in the group, with a decrease of nearly 30% since the beginning of the year.

Also because of that, FPT Corporation Chairman - Mr. Truong Gia Binh, is a rare figure in the ranking of the richest people on the floor this year whose asset size has decreased. At the same time last year, Mr. Binh held an estimated number of shares worth about 12,400 billion VND, but this year, it is only about 11,000 billion VND.

However, FPT still holds the gold position as the leading technology stock in Vietnam. Mr. Truong Gia Binh is also a businessman assigned by the Prime Minister with Mr. Don Lam - Founder of VinaCapital and other members of Committee IV to study the establishment of the Private Economic Development Fund.
