VPBank Dat Sen Hong Music Marathon 2025 has 4 competition distances, including: 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km, with international standard running routes, certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). Athletes all start from Ngo Thi Nham Street and finish at Dang Van Binh Street right in front of Van Mieu Square in the central area of Cao Lanh, Dong Thap.
This year's race took place smoothly with cool weather, helping athletes maintain their excitement throughout the competition, while also creating favorable conditions for the "runners" to confidently stride, maintain a steady pace and conquer their own goals.
In the men's 42km event, the race opened dramatically with a close chase between the leading athletes. At the 25km mark, athlete Huynh Anh Khoi (from Ho Chi Minh City) suddenly accelerated, spectacularly overtook to become the first to cross the finish line with a time of 2 hours 32 minutes, thereby leaving the runner-up, Cambodian athlete - Vann Pheara, 6 minutes behind.
Delighted after winning the championship, Huynh Anh Khoi (from Ho Chi Minh City) shared: "This year's route was very beautiful, especially when running through Cao Lanh Bridge or the peaceful streets here. The people cheered enthusiastically, and there were many water stations along the way, which helped me compete well and achieve results beyond my initial expectations."

In the women's 42km event, athlete Le Thi Ha excelled to become the champion with a time of 3 hours, surpassing Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan - the runner-up with a time of 3 hours and 2 minutes. Before the event, runner Le Thi Ha had conquered many domestic marathons and continuously left her mark with impressive achievements, affirming her form and perseverance in competition.
In the men's 21km race, runner Pham Phan finished first with a time of 1 hour and 13 minutes.
Meanwhile, the female champion of this distance is athlete Nguyen Khanh Ly with a time of 1 hour 27 minutes.
This year's middle distance races witnessed many dramatic competitions, with runner Sung Pao finishing first in the men's 10km event with a time of 34 minutes and 16 seconds, just 4 seconds ahead of runner Nguyen Van Loi, creating one of the most thrilling sprints of the tournament.
In the women's 10 km event, Le Thi Kim Phuong won the championship with a time of 40 minutes and 57 seconds, nearly 2 minutes ahead of runner Truong Hong Uyen.
Finally, in the 5km distance, runner Nguyen Van Khang won the men's championship and runner Nguyen Thi Hiep won the women's championship.
Throughout the journey, the organizers set up many support stations to help athletes quickly rehydrate, helping them maintain their physical strength and form throughout the journey. The encouragement from the organizing team and the surrounding people was also the motivation for the "runners" to make a strong breakthrough to the finish line.
At the end of the race, the organizers awarded nearly 120 prizes with a total value of up to 218 million VND to individuals and groups with high achievements in the competition categories.
This year, every step of the athletes is not only a symbol of perseverance, but also a journey of compassion and a demonstration of responsibility to the community.
From the prize revenue, the organizing committee donated 100 million VND to the fund for the conservation and development of the Red-crowned Crane, a rare bird species associated with the Dong Thap Muoi ecosystem, and donated 50 million VND to help 1,000 disadvantaged children experience the Sa Dec flower village and the 2nd Sa Dec Ornamental Flower Festival. The program also donated 100 million VND to support people in the northern provinces to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and floods.
Throughout the journey, more than 12,000 runners together created roads with brilliant pink colors, evoking the spirit of sports and joy throughout the streets of Cao Lanh. Along with that, the explosive VPBank Prime Night music night, the VPBank Prosperity Street rich in experiences and the Western specialty culinary street, all created a vibrant festival, where sports, culture and cuisine harmonized in excitement.
Through that, VPBank Dat Sen Hong Music Marathon 2025 has blown up positive energy to tourists and local people, contributing to spreading the message of living happily - living healthy and moving towards a truly prosperous life.
