Shaping the core action program for the new term
The Congress unanimously identified six key action programs for the 2025-2030 term. First of all, it is to step up propaganda work, gather and promote the strength of all classes of people. The Vietnam Fatherland Front continues to affirm its role in representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people, while improving the quality of supervision and social criticism.

Along with that, the Congress aims to encourage people to compete in studying, working, and being creative, contributing to promoting sustainable socio -economic development. People's foreign affairs and activities towards the overseas Vietnamese community continue to be focused on. Building a streamlined and effective Front and member organizations is identified as a continuous task, associated with the requirement of promoting digital transformation. The highlight of the new term is the breakthrough program "Digital Front - Digital literacy", creating a foundation to promote grassroots democracy, care for social security and build a civilized, modern and humane Ho Chi Minh City.
The Congress set out many specific targets, including mobilizing a minimum of 650 billion VND for the Fund for the Poor ; a Fund for the Homeland's Seas and Islands - for the Frontline of the Fatherland of at least 200 billion VND; striving for 95% of social supervision and criticism recommendations to be resolved and 100% of commune-level Fatherland Fronts to build a "digital literacy" team.

At the Congress, the new term of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City was officially launched. Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for the 2024 - 2029 term - was elected as the new Chairman, along with 8 full-time Vice Chairmen and 6 part-time Vice Chairmen. On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City also introduced the Digital Social Security application, aiming to transparently manage social security beneficiaries, strengthen the connection of social resources and support people more promptly.

Speaking at the Congress, Secretary of the City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang emphasized that the Congress took place at a time of special significance when Ho Chi Minh City expanded its development space, requiring innovation in the operation methods of the entire political system.
According to Mr. Quang, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City needs to continue to promote its core role in the great national unity bloc, accompanying the Party Committee, the government and the people, closely following the direction of the Central and City Party Committee. "Practice in recent times shows that the Front has effectively implemented many tasks, especially in the fields of social security, social supervision and criticism, thereby creating a foundation for the sustainable development of the city."

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Secretary of the City Party Committee suggested that the Fatherland Front focus on attracting people to participate in movements with specific actions, closely linked to people's lives, with clear results, avoiding formalities. The work of supervision and social criticism needs to be substantive, focusing on major projects, important decisions, especially the implementation of Resolution 98/2023 of the National Assembly, as well as public ethics and the spirit of serving the people of the team of cadres and civil servants.
The head of the City Party Committee also emphasized the need to promote digital transformation and build an interactive ecosystem between the Front and the people. In particular, it is necessary to study online channels for receiving opinions and publicize the process and results of handling petitions to ensure transparency.

According to Mr. Tran Luu Quang, the strength of the Front comes from sincerity and responsibility. Front officials must patiently listen, respond promptly, and courageously acknowledge limitations in order to overcome them. "The spirit of seeking knowledge and daring to improve oneself is the most important way for the Front and the political system to win the hearts of the people. The satisfaction, happiness and trust of the people are the clearest measure of work efficiency," the Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized.
