According to the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province, during the Lunar New Year 2024, domestic tourists are estimated to reach 143,075, an increase of 10%, and international tourists are expected to increase sharply to an estimated 1,925, a 450% increase compared to the same period last year. Hotel occupancy rates in the area reached 52.55%.

Total tourism revenue during the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Dragon 2024 is estimated at 45 billion VND, an increase of 76.47% compared to the same period in 2023.

The National Traffic Safety Committee has recommended that the Prime Minister direct ministries and agencies to continue implementing measures to strengthen enforcement of traffic violations and ensure traffic safety after the Lunar New Year.

Visitors come to explore and experience Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) at the Dak Lak Museum.

In the field of culture, sports, and tourism, guidance and propaganda were provided to units throughout the sector to implement cultural, artistic, sports, tourism, and recreational activities serving the Lunar New Year according to the instructions of higher authorities. Simultaneously, an art program and fireworks display were organized on New Year's Eve to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024 and commemorate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024). Directing and implementing these activities were carried out in specialized departments, affiliated units of the Department, the Culture and Information Departments of districts, towns, and cities, and cultural, sports, and tourism units in districts, towns, and cities, as well as cultural, sports, and tourism associations, federations, and clubs. The 3rd Ethnic Culture Festival of Ethnic Groups in Ea Kar District in 2024 attracted a large number of local people and tourists to enjoy the festivities.

In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province also established a team to inspect the preparations for serving the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024 at tourism businesses and attractions in the province.

Through inspection and monitoring, cultural, sports, and tourism activities continue to be maintained; security, safety, fire prevention, and disease prevention at business establishments are ensured; and no complaints have been received from tourists regarding the service attitude or quality of services at these establishments.

Following the Lunar New Year holiday, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province continued to inspect cultural, sports, and tourism activities throughout the province. The focus was on festivals and mass sports events to promptly prevent and strictly address acts of exploiting historical sites, festivals, and beliefs for personal gain; superstitious practices; and gambling.
