Dak Lak will organize activities in response to the "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love" program in May 2025.

On the afternoon of March 19th, a delegation from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, led by Mr. Vu Thanh Luu, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, held a working session with the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee to coordinate the implementation of activities within the framework of the "Humanitarian Journey – Spreading Love" program in May 2025.

Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, leaders of relevant departments and agencies, and the Red Cross Society of Dak Lak province.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed plans to coordinate the organization of a series of central-level activities under the "Humanitarian Journey – Spreading Love" program, scheduled to take place on May 5th and 6th, 2025 in Dak Lak province. This is a particularly significant activity to commemorate International Red Cross Day on May 8th and to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth.

The planned series of activities includes many practical humanitarian activities such as free medical examinations and medication distribution for people in disadvantaged areas; visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and former Youth Volunteers in difficult circumstances in Buon Ma Thuot City; a parade in response to the " Million Steps of Compassion - Continuing the Golden Pages of History " campaign; and other community support activities.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, affirmed that the province would create all favorable conditions for the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee to effectively implement its activities in the province, and directed relevant agencies and units to coordinate closely in the organization of the event.

Dak Lak province will continue to coordinate with the Central Committees of the Association to implement charitable programs, selecting disadvantaged individuals in the area, and allocating personnel to participate in spreading the message of the "Good People, Good Deeds - Working Together to Build a Compassionate Community" movement; spreading the patriotic tradition, the spirit of solidarity and humanism of the nation, and mobilizing resources to build a Humanitarian and Charitable Fund to care for people with particularly difficult circumstances in the province.

The Department and relevant agencies are requested to continue coordinating with the Provincial Red Cross Society to develop a plan for organizing activities during the Humanitarian Month in 2025, preparing the necessary conditions to ensure that these activities are effective and have a widespread impact on the community.

Comrade Vu Thanh Luu, Vice President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, thanked the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee for its support and expressed confidence that with close coordination between all parties, the "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love" series of activities will be successfully organized, making a practical contribution to social welfare work in the locality.

According to the leaders of the Dak Lak Provincial Red Cross Society, the program will have approximately 500 participants, including: Representatives from the Central Committee and departments/units of the Vietnam Red Cross Society; and Emulation Clusters No. 1, No. 4, and No. 6 (Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Nong, Phu Yen, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Quang Nam, Da Nang City, Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Bac Kan, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, and Yen Bai).

The program on May 5, 2025, in Buon Ma Thuot city will include: launching the Humanitarian Month; visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers/Former Youth Volunteers in difficult circumstances in Buon Ma Thuot city; organizing free medical examinations, treatment, health consultations, and medication distribution, and giving gifts to 700 people; and visiting Buon Ma Thuot Prison and Dak Lak Museum.

In Krông Pắc district, there will be a program in response to the launch of the 2025 Humanitarian Month; the organization of Humanitarian Market stalls; the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a Red Cross House; the provision of free medical examinations, health consultations, and medicine for 500 people; and the donation of water tanks to 200 ethnic minority households.

On May 6, 2025, Krông Năng district will hold a program in response to the launch of the Humanitarian Month; organize a health check-up and consultation program for 500 people; organize blood donation and encourage registration for organ and tissue donation; commence construction of a school canteen at Ea Hồ Primary School, Ea Hồ commune; and commence construction of a Red Cross House.

Activities in response to Humanitarian Month 2025 were organized in a solemn, safe, economical, effective, and practical manner to assist vulnerable groups and create a strong media impact.
