On the morning of November 18th, in Cu Pui ( Dak Lak ), after the floodwaters receded, 36 teachers and staff members of Hoa Phong Secondary School were present from early morning to clean up mud and disinfect classrooms, in preparation for the students' return to school.
The other day, the water rose so quickly that the teachers had to wade through waist-deep water to move equipment and books.

Mr. Tran Huu Liem, Vice Principal of Hoa Phong Secondary School, said that teaching equipment was moved in time so there was no major damage, mainly desks and chairs were soaked in water.
"The school is basically cleaned up, but we have to wait for the commune's announcement before students can return to school," said Mr. Liem.
Representatives from the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Education and Training stated that the unit has not yet compiled a full assessment of the damage, but has instructed schools to proactively clean up after the flood and ensure hygiene so that students can return to school as soon as possible.
Many residential areas around the school are still in disarray, with damaged roads, so students are temporarily unable to attend classes. Teachers continue to check on the safety of the students.
