VPS is still the leader in brokerage market share on HNX and UPCoM

The Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) recently announced the 10 securities companies with the largest stock brokerage market share on the HNX and UPCoM floors in the second quarter of 2023.

Accordingly, the 5 securities companies with the largest stock brokerage market share on the Hanoi Stock Exchange have not changed compared to the previous quarter, VPS still maintains the top position with a market share of 26.22%, an increase of more than 1 percentage point compared to the previous quarter, followed by VNDirect (9.27%) and SSI (7.81%).

Techcom Securities (TCBS) maintained its 4th position this quarter with a market share of 6.16%, pushing MB Securities' market share in the second quarter of 2023 to fall to the bottom of the top 5 with 4.8%.

Similarly on the UpCOM floor, the brokerage market share in the second quarter of 2023 with the leading names still being VPS, VNDirect, SSI, DSC and VCBS respectively, in which VPS still outperformed with 25.08% of the stock brokerage market share, down 0.46 percentage points compared to the previous quarter.

VNDirect Securities and SSI Securities, ranked next, also saw their market shares decrease to 7.14% and 6.86%, respectively, while the previous quarter was 8.62% and 7.48%.

Notably, the top 5 includes DSC Securities when this securities company rose to 4th place, while it was not in the top 10 last quarter, reaching 6.43% in just a few months.

In the first 6 months of 2023, although it decreased compared to the previous quarter, VPS's market share still surpassed both the HNX and UPCoM floors with market shares of 25.77% and 25.23%, respectively.

The next positions on HNX are the competition of VNDirect, SSI and TCBS with respective market shares of 9.26%; 8% and 5.87%. Particularly on the Upcom floor, the difference between VNDirect and SSI is not much when SSI Securities is less than 1% .
