Foreign tourists enjoy feeding ducks

Recently, videos recording images of foreign tourists coming to Vietnam to experience being a farmer such as planting rice, plowing fields in Sa Pa, raking rice, bathing buffalo in Ninh Binh, picking coffee in the Central Highlands... have caused a stir on social networks.

Recently, a tourist attracted 2.5 million views on Tiktok and 4.2 million views on Instagram with a video of her experience herding ducks in Phong Nha. She said she spent 4 USD (about 100,000 VND) to become the "leader of the duck flock".

"I didn't expect my video to be so popular on social media. This was an interesting experience when I came to Phong Nha.

I was guided by the locals to feed the ducks, try to become a duck herder and enjoy local dishes," Tina (24 years old, student) - a female tourist from Norway shared.

Under Tina's video, many foreign tourists were interested in asking about the address where she experienced duck herding or the unit providing this tour .

Tina said she traveled independently and did not join a tour. "I drove to a village in Phong Nha. I told the locals I wanted to try herding ducks and they let me do that interesting thing," the female tourist said.

Some people think that paying 100,000 VND for a few minutes of duck herding is "expensive". However, Tina feels it is worth it.

"Not everywhere can I do such an 'interesting' thing. This may be normal to the locals here, but it is new and attractive to people from far away like me," said the Norwegian tourist.

Tina "emptied all her savings" to make a 6-month journey to explore Southeast Asia. Of which, she spent 40 days traveling Vietnam from North to South: Hanoi, Ha Giang , Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City...

"I have seen many pictures of Vietnam and have always wanted to see this place with my own eyes. Vietnam is the country I want to explore the most," Tina shared.

Regarding the landscape, Tina especially loves Ha Giang. "This is the place with the most wonderful scenery I have ever seen in my life. I drove over winding mountain passes and was overwhelmed by the majestic mountain scenery.

I will never forget this place," the female tourist shared.

She also enjoys climbing mountains in Hang Mua (Ninh Binh) or rowing a basket boat in the coconut forest of Hoi An (Quang Nam).

"Traveling to Vietnam is beautiful and interesting but the prices are very cheap, especially compared to my country. Traveling in Vietnam is convenient, I can choose to take a night bus or motorbike," Tina said.
