HBO fans have just received official news that the hit series "Euphoria" has concluded its run with a total of 26 episodes. Director and creator Sam Levinson shared this directly on Popcast, the New York Times' music podcast. In a conversation with hosts Joe Coscarelli and Jon Caramanica, Levinson confirmed that everything is complete. Shortly afterward, HBO also confirmed the information to Variety.

Thus, the episode titled "In God We Trust" is essentially a farewell to the entire television project. Interested viewers can find summaries of the final episode compiled by Variety, along with interviews with actors Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Colman Domingo.

This conclusion didn't come as a complete surprise. Lead actress Zendaya herself had hinted several times that the project was unlikely to continue after season 3. A gap of four years existed between seasons 2 and 3. During that long period, Zendaya and her co-stars rose to A-list stardom. Their schedules were packed with large-scale blockbuster film projects. This busy schedule was one of the core reasons why production of season 3 faced the risk of serious delays, as Variety reported back in 2024.

Sam Levinson confided to Joe Coscarelli in The Times before the start of the new season that he always pours his heart and soul into writing the script for each season as if it were his last. When pressed about the possibility of a fourth season, the director hesitantly admitted he wasn't sure. Levinson shared that his only wish right now is to spend quality time with his wife and children, read some of Elmore Leonard's books, or rewatch the movie "Mrs. Miniver."

The impact of star power and the flow of entertainment news.

The core of "Euphoria" follows a group of high school students struggling through the complexities of youth. They constantly grapple with drugs, sex, self-discovery, social media, psychological trauma, love, and friendship. However, in season 3, the storyline takes a significant leap in time. The characters begin to grapple with the values of faith, seeking redemption and grappling with issues surrounding evil.

The film's appeal is largely due to its talented cast. Besides Zendaya, the screen also features Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, and Colman Domingo. Behind the scenes, Sam Levinson served as executive producer alongside a host of collaborators including Ashley Levinson, Sara E. White, Kevin Turen, Ravi Nandan, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Mirit Toovi, Tmira Yardeni, Yoram Mokady, and Gary Lennon.

Besides the news about HBO, the global streaming service market is also experiencing significant changes. Most recently, the Republican Attorney General of Texas officially filed a lawsuit against Netflix. The Texas prosecutor's office alleges that the service designed its platform to be addictive and secretly tracked users.

In other news from South America, Netflix Brazil is busily preparing to launch its first medical drama series. This plan is part of a new exclusive content lineup that includes a missionary special, a third drama series, and a comedy exploring the theme of open marriage.
