(Dan Tri) - Participating in the program "Sing! Asia 2025" as a guest judge, Dan Truong unexpectedly had the opportunity to reunite with his one-time idol - "Fifth Prince" Su You Peng.

In recent days, Dan Truong has attracted attention when he took on the role of guest judge at the program Sing! Asia 2025 - a program that takes place over 30 days on a cruise ship passing through many Asian countries.

At the stop in Ha Long ( Quang Ninh ), the male singer attracted attention when he reunited with "Fifth Prince" Su You Peng - a famous actor of the Chinese screen. Both were famous idols of the 1990s, had a profound influence and possessed a loyal fan base until now.

Taking on the role of judge representing Vietnam, Dan Truong warmly welcomed To Huu Bang and had the opportunity to chat intimately with the actor. "Anh Bo" revealed that he used to be a big fan of To Huu Bang through his films more than 20 years ago, which surprised the actor.

"The first time I met him in the photo studio, I was a bit confused because I didn't know his personality. But To Huu Bang was very cute, and even gave me a box of Taiwanese (Chinese) cakes that tasted like Vietnamese Pia cakes," Dan Truong said.

At the show, Dan Truong also impressed when he sang a duet of " Cut a Pair of Sorrows" with judge Truong Luong Dinh, delivering a vibrant performance. Dan Truong revealed that he and Truong Luong Dinh were assigned to be a couple by the organizers as soon as they arrived and both had to practice quickly.

"I admit that in real life, Truong Luong Dinh is very young and beautiful," he humorously commented.

Dan Truong said the invitation from the show came quite suddenly, while he was on a 5-night tour in Australia.

"At that time, I had just returned from the US, the time difference meant I could only sleep 3-4 hours a day, and I was also sick. I had just finished a tour in Australia and returned to Vietnam, and had a show I had already booked. I had to convince my partner, "cry" and promise compensation in all sorts of ways before I could participate in this program," he said.

According to Dan Truong, when he arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, he immediately took a connecting flight to Ha Long without having time to prepare his outfit or plan anything.

"Each artist has their own room and crew. But because of the busy schedule, more than 100 people surrounded me to take photos, film, practice... making me both stressed and pressured, but also very excited," Dan Truong said.

The male singer said that the filming schedule of the show lasted until late at night, after which he continued to have a meeting at night for the next day's schedule. "I was almost exhausted, so when I appeared on camera, I looked quite tired and lacked energy. But I still tried to fulfill my role as a judge, perform well and welcome international guests to Vietnam," he shared.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Dan Truong's manager said that he is currently flying to the US again with a busy schedule.

At Sing! Asia 2025 , Phuong My Chi is the only representative of Vietnam to compete. She left her mark with two performances , Rock Grain and Buon Trang, receiving strong support from both domestic and international audiences.

As a guest judge, Dan Truong expressed his pride and gave many compliments to the singer born in 2003. He said he accompanied, encouraged and supported Phuong My Chi in choosing her performance.

"I always kept my opinion of choosing Phuong My Chi in the two rounds. I wanted to fight side by side with her, like just two teachers and students fighting together on the battlefield and relying on each other," he shared.

As a result, Phuong My Chi won the highest position at the Vietnam station, making Dan Truong unable to hide his pride. "I'm tired and exhausted, as long as the program is successful and the representative of Vietnam shines," he said.
