40 Son La agricultural product booths introduced in Hai Phong

Delegates performed the opening ceremony of "Son La Province Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week in Hai Phong in 2025".

On the evening of August 21, at Co.opmart Le Hong Phong Supermarket (Ngo Quyen Ward), the People's Committee of Son La province coordinated with the People's Committee of Hai Phong city to organize the opening ceremony of "Son La province's safe agricultural products and food week in Hai Phong in 2025".

Attending the event were comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee.

Also attending were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and units of Son La province and Hai Phong city.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, a representative of the Son La Province Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center said: As of July 2025, agricultural production in Son La province continues to be maintained stably, with many crops producing high yields. Of which, the fruit tree area is over 85,050 hectares, the product area is estimated at 67,038 hectares, and the expected output is 510,000 tons. The total consumption output of fruit trees is estimated at over 280,000 tons, equivalent to 54.4% of the annual plan, with a total value of nearly 3,000 billion VND.

“Son La Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week in Hai Phong in 2025” is an activity to concretize the Memorandum of Understanding between Hai Phong City Party Committee and Son La Provincial Party Committee on comprehensive cooperation between Hai Phong City and Son La Province in the period of 2022 - 2025. This is an opportunity for Son La to promote its typical products, seek stable consumption markets, expand distribution channels, connect supply and demand, and promote trade cooperation between the two localities.

On the opening night, the agricultural products display area attracted many Hai Phong residents to visit and shop. The booths displayed a variety of safe fruits, vegetables, dried foods, coffee, tea, etc. bearing the rich flavor of the Northwest mountains and forests. Many families took the opportunity to buy large quantities to enjoy and give as gifts.

According to the Organizing Committee, "Son La Province Safe Agricultural Products and Food Week in Hai Phong in 2025" has a scale of 40 booths displaying and introducing safe agricultural products and food, OCOP products, and typical rural industrial products of the province.
