Professional male athletes compete at the Compak Sporting 2025 Flying Disc Shooting Championship.
Within the framework of Sports Festival 2025, the tournament aims to promote the sports training movement, improve the health and spiritual life of officers, soldiers and people. Taking place from August 20-23, the tournament attracted the participation of more than 80 professional and semi-professional athletes from People's Public Security Shooting Clubs, provinces and cities across the country.
Ms. Huynh Phuong Loan, General Secretary of the Vietnam Shooting Federation, said: In the past two years, the Compak Sporting flying disc shooting movement has developed rapidly and widely in many provinces and cities across the country. This sport requires athletes to demonstrate high accuracy, quick reflexes, and steadfastness in each shot. The flying disc shooting content simulates the activities of flying birds and running rabbits, creating an attraction for players, helping shooters to be flexible in reflexes, and quick to handle situations when flying discs are launched very quickly in many directions, posing a great challenge for shooters, whether professional or novice.

The tournament is divided into groups A, B and Newbie for men and women, with the number of discs from 25-200, the disc launching angle is diverse, attracting viewers, creating a certain level of difficulty for each level of athlete. For professional athletes in the National team participating in the tournament, the score will be used to calculate the performance, select the official team to compete at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games SEA Games held in Thailand in December 2025.
Athlete Nguyen Hoang Nam, from Ho Chi Minh City, said: This is a very useful playground for athletes to learn and share experiences with each other. In particular, the tournament helps athletes compete professionally, especially in the preparation phase for the SEA Games. The terrain and weather are very suitable for this sport.

For the first time held in the coastal area of Binh Thuan province (old), the tournament attracted a large number of people and tourists to visit and cheer enthusiastically. This shows that organizing the flying disc shooting sport not only contributes to diversifying the quality of sports playgrounds, but is also an opportunity for Lam Dong to expand exchanges and connections, creating an attractive and new tourist destination for visitors.
