Lam Dong Provincial Military Party Committee summarizes the implementation of Resolution No. 18

On the morning of September 25, the Lam Dong Provincial Military Party Committee held a conference to review the implementation of Resolution No. 18 dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee on a number of issues to continue innovating and streamlining the political system's apparatus to be streamlined and operate effectively.

Colonel Nguyen Van Son, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Military Party Committee, Political Commissar of Lam Dong Provincial Military Command chaired the Conference.

Over the past years, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command have focused on leading, directing, and operating information, propaganda, concretizing, and effectively implementing resolutions and plans of the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense on continuing to innovate and streamline the political system's apparatus to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently with many appropriate and effective policies and solutions.

The authorities have played their roles and responsibilities well in advising and proposing implementation. The organizations have been arranged and adjusted in accordance with regulations.

Colonel Le Anh Vuong, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, reported on the implementation results of Resolution 18 of the Provincial Military Command.

Specifically, from 2017 to October 2024, 1 organization was dissolved; 2 organizations were merged and reorganized; 1 unit was transferred. From November 2024 to present, 28 Military Commands of districts, towns and cities were dissolved; 3 Military Commands of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong were merged and the reorganization of affiliated units was completed; 124 new Military Commands at the commune level were established.

Party committees, commanders, cadres and soldiers have good awareness, high responsibility, internal solidarity and high consensus in awareness and implementation. The team of cadres and employees is gradually streamlined according to the roadmap.

The adjusted organizations quickly stabilized in all aspects, maintained effective, efficient operations, and improved the quality of task completion.

At the Conference, delegates focused on discussing the operational efficiency and quality of task performance at the units after the merger. In particular, focusing on the issues of the number of officers, professional soldiers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers currently in surplus compared to the new organizational structure issued by the General Staff; the number of non-commissioned officers and soldiers performing training, combat readiness, and performing tasks in some periods is still lacking compared to regulations.

A few cadres still have concerns and worries when adjusting their positions, work units and 178 regimes. Some newly assigned cadres still lack practical experience in the merged area, leading to confusion in consulting and implementation.

Facilities for military and defense work are still lacking. Militia and self-defense work in some villages and neighborhoods after the merger is not tight...

The conference also discussed specific tasks to continue building and perfecting the organizational structure in the coming time.

Concluding the Conference, Colonel Nguyen Van Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Military Party Committee, Political Commissar of Lam Dong Provincial Military Command affirmed: The results achieved in the past time are the consensus and high determination of the Party Committee, the Provincial Military Command, the Party Committees, commanders of agencies, units and in each assigned field, promptly handling arising issues, ensuring the implementation according to the requirements and progress set out; cadres and party members agreed and supported.

The Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command emphasized that there is still much work to be done in streamlining the organization and apparatus. The recent results are very important but are only the first step, so it is necessary to continue to research, do a good job of consulting, proposing content and measures for leadership and direction so that the new organization and staff can be stable, operate effectively, and improve operational efficiency.

On this occasion, the Provincial Military Party Committee commended 7 collectives and 12 individuals for their achievements in implementing Resolution No. 18.
