In Xeo Gia hamlet, Vinh Binh commune, we heard stories about Party members who "walk the talk." Abandoning traditional farming methods, many Party members boldly improved the land, making pineapples their main crop. Party member Tran Thanh Lam is a prime example. Previously, Mr. Lam's family mainly cultivated rice and other crops, but yields were unstable due to the harsh soil and weather. With a spirit of overcoming difficulties and a determination to prosper on his homeland, he constantly sought new ways to develop the economy .

After much research in newspapers and on television, and studying technical documents, Mr. Lam decided to reclaim barren land to grow pineapples. In the beginning, many people were skeptical, believing that this acidic and saline soil was unsuitable for pineapple cultivation, but he persevered. He actively researched methods of fertilizing and soil improvement, and chose the right time for planting. His efforts paid off, and the first pineapples were well-received by traders.

From just a few plots of land initially, Mr. Lam now owns about 1.5 hectares of pineapple plantations, earning hundreds of millions of dong annually. What is even more admirable about this Party member is his spirit of sharing. He readily provides technical guidance to his fellow villagers so they can work together. "As a Party member, I have to lead the way; if I succeed, then the people will trust me and follow suit to develop together," Mr. Lam shared.

To diversify crops and livestock and improve production efficiency, Mr. Lam's family also utilizes the pineapple ditches to raise shrimp. This method not only provides a source of clean food for the family and saves costs but also brings in a significant income. This integrated economic model helps his family achieve a profit of approximately 300 million VND per year. "The model of growing pineapples combined with shrimp farming is considered a sustainable direction for the people here. The natural farming method, without the use of chemicals, has low costs, so the product quality is highly valued, bringing stable economic benefits," Mr. Lam said.

Driven by a desire to improve her family's economic situation, Party member Nguyen Thi Nhanh, residing in Thanh Hung commune, chose dried snakehead fish as her startup product. As a young Party member, Ms. Nhanh enthusiastically worked and produced, generating hundreds of millions of dong in income annually. Utilizing the local natural fish resources, she processed them into dried products that can be preserved for a long time. Before starting her business, she regularly searched for information online and researched processing formulas. In 2020, she produced her first batches of dried snakehead fish. She sent samples to friends and relatives for testing. Based on their feedback, she learned from her experience and perfected her processing techniques.

Recognizing the high competitiveness of this product, Ms. Nhanh always pays close attention to every step, from selecting raw materials and ensuring the fish is fresh and delicious, to each processing stage, which is carried out carefully and meticulously. With a spirit of continuous learning, she actively participates in trade fairs and the "One Commune, One Product" program to promote and find markets. After more than 6 years of perseverance, from a traditional product, her family now has two products that have achieved OCOP 3-star certification. Besides dried snakehead fish, she has also developed other dried products: loach, gourami, eel, frog, etc. "I proactively put the products on e-commerce platforms to promote the specialties of my hometown; I am ready to share my experience and create jobs for local people when needed, so that we can develop together and contribute to building a more prosperous and beautiful homeland," Ms. Nhanh said.

Besides developing her family's economy, Ms. Nhanh also actively participates in social welfare work. Her production facility provides stable employment for about 5 local workers, helping them earn extra income and improve their lives.
