
Accordingly, the Ministry of Health requests that localities and medical facilities arrange appropriate examination schedules to avoid overcrowding; strengthen early detection of dangerous diseases for timely treatment, and reduce the financial burden on the people.
According to the guidelines, children under 6 years old are examined according to specific regulations of the Ministry of Health , focusing on assessing physical condition, nutrition, motor development, and early detection of health abnormalities.
The group aged 6 to under 18 years old undergoes physical examination and clinical specialist examinations according to Circular 32/2023/TT-BYT, including circulatory, respiratory, digestive, neurological, psychiatric, ophthalmological, ENT, and maxillofacial conditions. Simultaneously, hematological, biochemical, X-ray, and other paraclinical tests are performed as indicated.
For individuals aged 18 and older, the examination includes physical fitness, internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, dentistry, and necessary laboratory tests.
The Ministry of Health notes that if, during the examination, suspicious signs of tuberculosis, lung tumors, or other diseases are detected, the doctor should order further specialized tests or refer the patient to a suitable facility for early intervention.
For female workers specifically, the list of gynecological examinations is carried out according to a separate appendix of the Circular issued by the Ministry of Health.
In addition, the Ministry of Health also stipulates separate health examinations for specific groups such as students, drivers, airline staff, railway operators, sailors, and certain other specialized professions.
