Increase income after vocational training
From the resources of Sub-project 3, Project 5, Program 1719 on developing vocational education and creating jobs for ethnic minority and mountainous workers, in 3 years from 2022-2024, Nam N'dir commune has 274 students participating in vocational training and effectively applying the knowledge learned into practice.
After participating in a vocational training course on agricultural machinery repair organized by the Center for Vocational Education and Continuing Education (VET) of Krong No district, Mr. Dang Van Truong, a Dao ethnic group in Quang Hoa village, Nam N'dir commune, was able to repair agricultural machinery for his family's production and for people in the surrounding area.
Mr. Truong said: "After 3 months of studying, I was able to repair some errors of the tractor during the working process. While working, I learned and gained experience, now I can repair machines for my family and people around. With stable support of machinery, agricultural production efficiency is also higher than before.

Similarly, after participating in a cooking training course in the vocational training program for rural workers, Ms. Lu Thi Lan, Muong ethnic group, Buon Choah village, Buon Choah commune, Krong No district, improved her family's life.
Ms. Lu Thi Lan confided: "Previously, my husband and I only had more than 3 sao of coffee, and our income was unstable, so we had to work many jobs to make ends meet. After hearing the village chief's propaganda about the cooking class, I decided to register for the course with the hope of gaining more skills and stable job opportunities. Every month, I have an additional income of about 4 million VND, making family life less difficult and having more conditions to take care of my children."

According to the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Krong No district, vocational training classes have supplemented a lot of knowledge for workers, opening up many opportunities for people to have jobs and stable income. Training programs aim to diversify occupations, meeting the actual needs of the labor market and the requirements of businesses. Many female and young workers, especially ethnic minority workers, the locality has also implemented many vocational training classes in line with the development trend of society.
For farming, people know how to apply science and technology to production, increase crop productivity, and increase labor efficiency. "With improved training, rural workers have more opportunities to find jobs, higher labor productivity, and improved economic life," affirmed Mr. Ngan Thanh Hai, Head of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs of Krong No district.
Help workers stabilize their jobs
In recent times, in order to improve the effectiveness of vocational training, Krong No district has implemented many practical measures, mobilizing the participation of departments, branches and organizations. The district has issued directive documents, focused on innovating vocational training programs, and invested in facilities serving rural labor training.
Along with vocational training, the district focuses on attracting businesses to invest, participate in vocational training and create jobs. Training and transfer of science and technology is implemented in the direction of enhancing practice and practical application, helping rural workers improve their skills and apply them effectively in production.
Thanks to the above efforts, vocational training in Krong No district has had many positive changes, improving the quality of rural labor. In particular, many policy workers, poor households, and ethnic minorities have found jobs in enterprises and production facilities inside and outside the district after vocational training. Some workers have effectively applied the knowledge they have learned to production, building economic models that bring high incomes, contributing to promoting economic development and sustainable poverty reduction.

In the 2022-2024 period, implementing Sub-project 3, Project 5 under Program 1719, Krong No district opened 20 elementary vocational training classes. The implementation cost reached 7,139/9,345 million VND, equivalent to 76% of the assigned capital plan.
With jobs that are suitable to the reality and needs of the people such as: cooking, repairing agricultural machines, industrial sewing, cultivation techniques and plant protection, rubber planting and care techniques, the training courses have attracted more than 600 students.

Mr. Ngan Thanh Hai, Head of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs of Krong No district, said: Vocational training for rural workers in recent times has achieved positive results, contributing to improving the quality and qualifications of workers, especially those in ethnic minority areas.
To improve the quality and effectiveness of vocational training, associated with creating local jobs and promoting labor restructuring, the district has stepped up propaganda, raised people's awareness of vocational training, diversified livelihoods, and enhanced career counseling activities. At the same time, the locality mobilized rural workers to actively learn vocational skills, improve income and develop strong products.
