In 2023, the total enrollment quota for the four specialized Informatics classes in Hanoi was 140, with 1,196 candidates registering for the entrance exam. The highest competition ratio was for the specialized Informatics class at Chu Van An High School - 1/11.09, meaning that on average, for every 11 candidates, one was admitted. This was followed by the competition ratios at Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted (1/10.17), Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted (1/9.03), and finally Son Tay High School for the Gifted (1/3.89).
Last year, the highest entrance score for the 10th grade specialized Informatics class was 37.25 at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students, while the lowest was at Son Tay High School for Gifted Students (27.25). The specialized Informatics classes at Nguyen Hue High School for Gifted Students and Chu Van An High School for Gifted Students had entrance scores of 35.25 and 35 respectively.
The exam scores and admission standards for Hanoi's public high schools this year will be announced on July 4th and July 8th-9th. Successful candidates will enroll online. From July 18th, schools that have not yet met their enrollment quotas will begin supplementary admissions.
