Extinguishing a large fire at a furniture factory in Hoc Mon

At around 10am on May 16, a fire broke out at a furniture manufacturing and storage workshop on Nguyen Thi Ai Street, Tan Xuan Commune, Hoc Mon District, Ho Chi Minh City. At that time, workers were working and discovered the fire, shouted and mobilized mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire. However, inside the workshop were many flammable objects and chemicals, causing the fire to spread.

The fire broke out and spread rapidly.

The Fire Prevention and Fighting Team of Hoc Mon District, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department, and the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department mobilized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. The Fire Prevention and Fighting Police cordoned off the fire and prevented it from spreading to neighboring households. After a short time, the fire was extinguished. At the scene, hundreds of square meters of the factory and many properties inside were burned and severely damaged.

Tan Xuan Commune Police coordinated with relevant units to investigate the scene and clarify the cause and damage after the fire.
