Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh said that there are currently about 3,000 projects nationwide facing difficulties and obstacles that need to be resolved. The establishment of Steering Committee 751 with the participation of many ministries and sectors is aimed at thoroughly handling backlogged, prolonged, and ineffective projects.
The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated Khanh Hoa for seriously implementing the Politburo 's direction, initially effectively handling a number of stuck projects. However, the province needs to continue to comprehensively review the remaining projects, thereby classifying and proposing specific and feasible solutions to free up resources estimated at up to VND156,000 billion to promote socio-economic development.
Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that recommendations that are beneficial to businesses, if in accordance with the law, should be boldly proposed and applied to facilitate investment and business.
According to local reports, Khanh Hoa currently has more than 240 projects that are behind schedule, prolonged, and ineffective, including projects subject to handling under Resolution 170 of the National Assembly, projects requesting central mechanisms, and projects the province is handling under its authority.
Previously, comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh and members of Steering Committee 751 directly inspected and grasped information and the actual situation at the Tan Lap Islet Residential Area project (Nha Trang ward) and the My Gia New Urban Area project (Nam Nha Trang ward).
