(GLO) - Upholding the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers," women of the 15th Army Corps have implemented many movements and models closely linked to production tasks and civilian affairs work in border areas; contributing to consolidating the people's trust and spreading the image of a courageous, intelligent, disciplined, and compassionate military woman.

Unity and sharing

After her rubber tapping shift, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nho, a worker in Team 17, Economic -Defense Group 74 (Army Corps 15), still stays behind to guide new female workers in improving tapping techniques to increase productivity and reduce latex loss. Having been dedicated to the profession for over 20 years and recognized as an outstanding worker for many consecutive years, Ms. Nho is not only highly skilled professionally but also actively promotes a spirit of solidarity and sharing within the team.

As the head of the Women's Association of Team 17, Ms. Nho is always enthusiastic in the unit's movements, especially the "Women helping each other develop family economy" movement. When the unit implemented the "Household Linkage" model, she proactively formed a sisterhood and provided assistance to Ms. Ro Mah Beh's family in Ia Chia commune. Ms. Beh's family previously had fragmented and inefficient production. Thanks to Ms. Nho's dedicated guidance on rubber tapping techniques, orchard care, vegetable cultivation, and livestock farming, the family's life gradually stabilized and they gained additional income.

Beh emotionally shared, "I consider Nho like family. With her by my side, I feel more secure in my work." For Nho, helping colleagues is not just a daily task, but also a way to extend the spirit of sharing she received from those who came before her. "When I first started, everyone guided me wholeheartedly. Now that I have the means and experience, I must continue that spirit, helping my colleagues do better so that everyone can have a stable life," Nho said.

Inspired by role models like Ms. Nhớ, the women's movement throughout the 15th Army Corps has grown stronger, making a significant contribution to fulfilling production tasks and consolidating public support in border areas.

Spreading practical women's movements and models.

Currently, the 15th Army Corps has 4,617 female members, operating in 163 grassroots branches; 100% registered for emulation, with over 90% achieving advanced or excellent titles. The "Household Bonding" model is maintained with 4,210 pairs of households, helping each other develop economically, stabilize their lives, and spread the spirit of solidarity.

Alongside this, models such as "Four Good Gardens," "Clean House - Beautiful Garden - Sustainable Economy," "Savings Rice Jar," "Livestock of Trust," and "Compassionate Hearts" have been widely implemented, creating significant changes in household economic development and building happy families. To date, 100% of member families have green vegetable gardens; 94% meet the criteria of "5 No's, 3 Cleanliness" and 95% have achieved the title of "Culturally Advanced Family."

According to Major Dinh Thi Le, Chairwoman of the Women's Association of the 715th Economic-Defense Brigade (15th Army Corps), in recent years, the work of the Association and the women's movement of the unit have always been implemented comprehensively, linked to production tasks and building a strong and comprehensive unit. The Association has concretized this through many practical models, closely aligned with the production conditions and lives of its members. These emulation models are regularly maintained, attracting a large number of members to participate.

To date, 95.6% of member families have met the criteria of "5 no's, 3 clean's," and 100% of households have vegetable gardens to improve their living standards. The association has mobilized more than 1,250 man-days to help sick and disadvantaged members; built and donated 11 "Member Solidarity Houses" and distributed more than 3,000 gifts to women and children in border areas.

These results affirm the important role of women's work in fulfilling the political tasks of the Corps, and at the same time contribute to strengthening the people's support in border areas.

Colonel Dang Quang Dung, Head of Political Affairs of the 15th Army Corps, stated that women's affairs have always been an important political task of the Corps. The unit aims to build a team of female officers and members who are comprehensively developed, possess strong political acumen, good moral character, excellent skills, and are quick to adapt to the demands of the new situation.

“We hope that each officer and member will continue to train, strive, study, and follow the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh through concrete and practical actions in their daily lives; actively study, improve their skills, promote innovation and creativity in labor and production, and contribute to the unit's successful completion of all assigned tasks. From there, further enhance the image of the women of Brigade 15 – courageous, intelligent, disciplined, and compassionate, worthy of being called Ho Chi Minh's soldiers in the new era,” Colonel Dang Quang Dung emphasized.
