In addition, the following projects are being implemented: upgrading, renovating, and repairing historical and cultural relics, monuments, and memorials to martyrs; renovating and upgrading Hoang Du Khuong Primary School; renovating the drainage system and undergrounding telecommunications and street lighting on four inner-city roads (Phan Chau Trinh, Le Loi, Hoang Dieu, and Ong Ich Khiem); upgrading and renovating the March 29th Park, with an investment of over 673 billion VND; upgrading and renovating the Ngu Hanh Son District Medical Center; and commencing construction of a statue of President Ho Chi Minh at the Da Nang General Science Library...
Ms. Pham Thi Thu Van (My An ward, Ngu Hanh Son district) shared: “I am very happy to see the city investing in meaningful projects such as the new museum, housing for war veterans, and the renovation of old parks… making people feel proud and confident in Da Nang's future.” Mr. Pham Hao, a driver, said: “The upgraded and expanded roads make my work more convenient. The Quang Da Bridge, now in use, not only facilitates faster travel but also opens up opportunities for trade between Da Nang and Quang Nam.”
Building a civilized and modern city.
In the near future, the city is expected to commence many major projects such as: Asia Park and the International Fireworks Complex; the FPT expansion project; the Viettel Information Technology Park; and the digital creative space complex… In addition, the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway section will be put into operation, and the Tuy Loan expressway interchange will be started. Meanwhile, major projects such as the road connecting Lien Chieu port; the Lien Chieu port - shared infrastructure; and the upgrading and renovation of National Highway 14B section passing through the city… are also being accelerated.
Recently, on June 24th, the People's Committee of Hanoi City approved the investment plan for the project to improve the Le Thanh Nghi - Cach Mang Thang Tam - Thang Long intersection and the access road to Hoa Xuan Bridge, with a total investment of over 1,571 billion VND from the city budget. The project is scheduled for completion between 2025 and 2029 and is divided into two sub-projects. The project's scope includes maintaining the existing Hoa Xuan Bridge, constructing an additional branch of the bridge downstream of the old one, and considering architectural options in subsequent stages.
At the intersection cluster in Hoa Cuong ward, underpasses will be constructed on Cach Mang Thang Tam and Thang Long roads, along with service roads on both sides. An underpass will be constructed on Thang Long road with service roads on both sides of the underpass. Le Thanh Nghi road will be widened towards the park area (from Le No road to the beginning of Hoa Xuan bridge), Do Xu bridge will be widened towards Khue Trung lake, and a right-turn road will be constructed from Le Thanh Nghi road to Cach Mang Thang Tam road on the bank of Khue Trung lake.
At the intersection cluster in Hoa Xuan ward, the project involves investing in a riverside road under the Hoa Xuan bridge, connecting Giang Huong 1 road to Ton That Duong Ky road; and reorganizing traffic within the intersection area. The project will also relocate and construct new technical infrastructure systems: water supply and drainage, lighting, 110kV, 22kV, and 0.4kV power lines, wastewater drainage, and communication systems. The project aims to complete the transportation infrastructure according to the planning orientation, connect the technical infrastructure system in the area synchronously, and promote socio-economic development.
Simultaneously, these projects address traffic congestion in the intersection area, improving traffic flow and safety during transit. They create a new urban landscape, enhance the quality of life, promote tourism, investment, and socio-economic development of the city. This contributes to the comprehensive development of a modern and civilized urban environment, expanding infrastructure, technology, and logistics to become the leading economic engine of the region.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vingroup, shared at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Lang Van Tourism and Resort Urban Complex project: “We believe that developing Lang Van is not simply about building a resort destination, but also about creating a new symbol, where people live in harmony with nature in a modern and sustainable environment.”
The project will be meticulously planned according to a multi-functional model, with a reasonable building density, prioritizing the preservation of natural landscapes, honoring local beauty, and creating an ideal, high-class living space. Upon completion, the Lang Van Tourism and Resort Urban Complex will be a "holiday paradise" and a truly ideal place to live for residents, domestic and international tourists. The Lang Van Tourism and Resort Urban Complex is expected to complete and have its first components operational from 2027, contributing to activating the region's economic potential and opening up tourism, commercial, and logistics activities.
With a vibrant spirit of competition, Da Nang is gradually asserting its position as a livable, smart, and distinctive city in the Central region and the whole country. From the inauguration of museums, social housing, and martyrs' cemeteries, to the renovation of roads, parks, bridges, and large-scale tourism and information technology projects… all bear the deep imprint of the development process and aspirations for the future, contributing to Da Nang's strong development and making it a growth pole of the country.
