(NLĐO) - The seminar "Developing the Cultural Industry: What are the Pillars?" will take place at the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper office tomorrow morning, December 5th, with many delegates and guests.
The "Brother Says Hi" program attracts a large audience of music lovers in Ho Chi Minh City and across the country.
In late May 2024, the Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper organized a seminar titled "Solutions to Promote the Development of Vietnam's Cultural Industry by 2030". The seminar was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, various departments and agencies, associations, and numerous businesses and artists working in the cultural sector.
At this seminar, we gathered much new and valuable information about the current state of Vietnam's cultural industry, including bottlenecks, difficulties, and opportunities. The guests also proposed many practical and feasible solutions, which were accepted by relevant government agencies.
Recognizing that the cultural industry still has much room for further discussion and in-depth analysis, especially after the Prime Minister signed Directive No. 30/CT-TTg on the development of Vietnam's cultural industries on August 29, 2024, the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper will organize its second seminar on this issue, themed: "Developing the Cultural Industry: What are the Pillars?" at the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper on the morning of December 5th.
People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, introduces the "Ho Zo 2024" program.
The seminar was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Hoai Son, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education, and Dr. To Dinh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.
The seminar provided an opportunity to review the rapidly developing cultural industry worldwide and its impact on Vietnam, noting that Ho Chi Minh City, despite its great potential, still faces limitations in the development and effectiveness of its cultural industry.
Vietnamese singer My Tam and many famous bands will participate in the "Ho Zo 2024" program.
The seminar will delve into the success of two outstanding music programs in Ho Chi Minh City: "Anh trai say hi" and "Ho Zo"; alongside information surrounding the film "Dat Rung Phuong Nam" and other films that have grossed hundreds of billions of VND. Artists will discuss the methods, experiences, and lessons learned from these successful projects and aim towards building the cultural industry of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general.
Furthermore, the obstacles, shortcomings, and limitations that the cultural industry is currently facing will be an interesting source of information for discussion, aiming to identify key areas and pillars that the cultural industry needs to invest in and develop.
Participating in the panel discussion were artists, producers, and guests such as: choreographer Le Nguyen Hieu - Chief of Office of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Ho Chi Minh City, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Dance Artists Association; director Ton That Can - Standing Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Theatre Association; director Le Quy Duong - President of the Festival and International Cooperation Committee of the International Federation of Theatre Associations (IFCPC/ITI); director Tran Duoc - Southern Arts Theatre; director Nguyen Quang Dung, Ho Chi Minh City Film Association; Mr. Dinh Ba Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DATVIETVAC Group Holdings; Dr. Do Tien (program producer); CEO Nguyen Huu Anh - The first management; director Tran Ngoc Lam; supermodel Xuan Lan (Lalaland Company)...
