By 2025, the province will achieve many positive results in the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; digital infrastructure and platforms will be invested in; and science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation will be increasingly applied in various sectors, fields, and social life, especially in agriculture. By 2025, the digital economy will account for 6.4% of GRDP; the satisfaction level of people and businesses will reach 17.87/18 points (99.28%).
Scientific research activities have yielded outstanding results. The results of research projects have proposed specific solutions to enhance the digital transformation capacity of businesses in the agriculture, industry-construction , and trade-service sectors in the province, raising their digital transformation level from level 0 to level 2. This has also provided crucial scientific basis for guiding the management, preservation, and promotion of heritage values, supporting An Giang in its process of proposing the recognition of the Oc Eo - Ba The cultural heritage site as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.

The province's administrative procedure information system has completed integration with the National Public Service Portal for over 95% of public services; of which, more than 1,100 services are fully online. As of December 15, 2025, the province has integrated 2,135 public services (accounting for 97.36%) onto the National Public Service Portal. The rate of online application submissions for 25 essential public services under Project 06 in the province reached 82.81%, and the quality of application processing, both ahead of schedule and on time, has been maintained stably.
In 2026, the province strives to achieve two breakthrough targets: the proportion of added value from the digital economy in GRDP reaching 8%, and the local digital transformation and innovation index ranking 10th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide; promoting the provision of online public services to reach 80%; increasing the rate of online applications, the rate of citizens and businesses using and being satisfied to reach 95%; expanding the deployment of electronic health records, striving to achieve a rate of 95% or higher…

Delivering a directive speech at the conference, Comrade Ho Van Mung emphasized that the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation is a particularly important task impacting the province's socio-economic growth. He also requested that departments and agencies play a more active role in advising and implementing the tasks of developing science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation , and actively complete the tasks of Project 06.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Science and Technology to advise the Provincial People's Committee on establishing a working group to work with localities on the implementation of targets, indicators, and tasks for the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation ; and to compile scientific and technological research projects with broad applicability to advise the Provincial People's Committee on transferring them to localities for application in production.
The Department of Construction will take the lead in advising the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of house number identification. The Department of Internal Affairs and the Provincial Social Insurance Agency will promptly complete the updating of information on martyrs and those participating in health insurance and social insurance into the database system; and clean up enterprise data.
