Promoting training of human resources for semiconductor chip manufacturing

Báo Nhân dânBáo Nhân dân01/10/2024

Responding to Vietnam Innovation Day 2024, on October 1, CT Semiconductor's ATP Semiconductor Chip Technician Training Center officially came into operation at the National Innovation Center (NIC) located in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, Hanoi .

This Semiconductor Technician Training Center will provide specialized courses in semiconductor assembly, testing and packaging. These courses will prepare engineers and specialists to work in OSAT factories being built in Vietnam.

Dr. Nguyen Van Thai, Product Director of CT Semiconductor shared: "Only by mastering technology, making good use of domestic human resources, and attracting more talents from around the world can the semiconductor chip industry in particular and technology in Vietnam in general integrate and develop sustainably."

According to Dr. Nguyen Van Thai, about 20 years ago, many of the world's leading technology companies and corporations invested in Vietnam and received strong support. However, this field still has a lot of room for development, especially focusing on training human resources for the semiconductor industry.

Many modern machines of CT Semiconductor were introduced at Vietnam Innovation Day 2024.

The special difference of this project is the autonomy in technology, the curriculum is well prepared from the ATP specialized training stage to serve OSAT companies, R&D to production according to the 4.0 model. At the training center, the AMB5600 microcircuit and semiconductor component testing machine to serve research is also put into use.

“The establishment of technology human resource training centers right at the National Innovation Center (NIC) demonstrates the aspiration to make Vietnamese chips and the strong rise to master semiconductor technology,” Mr. Nguyen Van Thai added.

Help students get closer to technology

Train for the Trainer - a "seed" training program in the technology field is being organized by CT Semiconductor (under CT Group) to help young Vietnamese people have the opportunity to access leading modern machines.

By participating in this project, students will also have the opportunity to study directly with many lecturers and experts from home and abroad. Thereby, they will find job opportunities in prestigious companies and corporations right from their school days.
