Promoting the application of technology in the healthcare industry.

DNO - On May 10th, the Da Nang City Department of Health announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Vietnam Association for Research and Application of Biomedical Technology to promote digital transformation and the application of modern technology in the field of healthcare and community health.

According to the cooperation agreement, the two sides will coordinate in training high-quality medical personnel, promoting the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in medical examination and treatment and healthcare management, building digital hospitals and modern healthcare information systems with data security, and strengthening scientific research and technology transfer in the fields of medicine, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.

In addition, the parties also aim to connect businesses, scientists, and the healthcare industry to develop safe and effective healthcare products, contributing to the formation of a modern, smart, and sustainable healthcare ecosystem for the city.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Huan, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Research and Application of Biomedical Technology, highly appreciated the development potential of Da Nang's healthcare sector, especially in the fields of digital healthcare, AI, biotechnology, and medical tourism . The Association pledged to accompany and support the implementation of technology application programs in community healthcare practices.

Dr. Tran Thanh Thuy, Director of the City Health Department, said that the cooperation will create a strong impetus for the digital transformation of the healthcare sector, while also opening up a direction for developing medical tourism combined with green tourism through characteristic medicinal products of Da Nang such as Ngoc Linh ginseng.

The connection between the healthcare industry, businesses, and researchers not only contributes to the development of quality pharmaceutical products but also aims to build a modern, smart, and sustainable healthcare ecosystem for the city.
