After the flood and landslide, Trinh Tuong commune had 900 households affected. Receiving support from volunteer groups, based on the list of checks and damage statistics, people coming to receive support were all given a gift voucher by the commune officials. Up to now, more than 100 volunteer groups have connected through the Fatherland Front of Bat Xat district to distribute relief goods to people in flood-hit areas. Publicly and transparently, the support sources are publicly and transparently distributed. The Front and its member organizations coordinate to inventory and issue receipts at the warehouse. After the flood, Bat Xat district had more than 1,400 houses affected; nearly 1,000 hectares of agricultural land, rice, corn, and crops were flooded and washed away. Along with 71 billion VND in support from the province, the attention and sharing of agencies, units, businesses, organizations, and individuals have been helping people gradually stabilize their housing, restore production, and gradually bring life back to normal.
