Although the exam took place under scorching sun, for many candidates, the Math subject went relatively smoothly.
At the exam site at Le Quy Don Specialized High School (Nam Dong Ha ward), candidates assessed the Math exam as being of moderate difficulty and easy to achieve high scores.
Student Truong Quang Anh Khoi said that the Math exam wasn't too difficult; even students with average academic ability could score 6-7 points. The exam structure was appropriate, focusing on the core content of the 9th grade curriculum.

Hoang Gia Hung (from Khe Sanh) assessed the Math exam as being of moderate difficulty. The exam showed clear differentiation in difficulty levels, increasing towards the end. The geometry questions were particularly challenging.
Sharing the same opinion, candidate Nguyen Bao An also said that the Math exam was relatively manageable but clearly differentiated between candidates. The exam structure focused on grade 9 material.
"Even average students are capable of completing about 50-60% of the exam," An said.
In this year's high school entrance exam, Quang Tri province has 25,191 candidates registered to take the exam for 10th grade (1,768 candidates registered to take the exam at Le Quy Don Specialized High School and Vo Nguyen Giap Specialized High School).
Of these, the enrollment quota for public high schools is 22,775 students. The enrollment quota for continuing education in grade 10 is 2,655 students.
The Department of Education and Training has arranged 60 examination boards with 65 examination locations situated in high schools, junior high schools, and high schools throughout the area.
This year's 10th grade entrance exam in Quang Tri is considered to be quite competitive, with approximately 2,400 candidates at risk of not being admitted to public high schools.

Among them, several examination centers had a large number of candidates, such as the Vo Nguyen Giap Specialized High School examination board (Dong Hoi ward) with 946 candidates; Quang Trung High School (Phu Trach commune) with 866 candidates; Luong The Vinh High School (Ba Don ward) with 836 candidates; and Le Quy Don Specialized High School (Nam Dong Ha ward) with 823 candidates.
In order to organize a safe, objective, and compliant examination, the Department of Education and Training, in coordination with local authorities, has meticulously prepared all aspects of organization and examination supervision.
According to a preliminary report from the Department of Education and Training, 25,191 candidates registered for the Mathematics exam; 24,957 candidates actually took the exam, and 234 candidates were absent (for unknown reasons).
The first exam session went smoothly, safely, and in accordance with regulations.
According to the exam schedule, on the afternoon of May 25th, candidates will take the first subject, Mathematics. On May 26th, they will continue with the Literature and English exams. Candidates applying to specialized high schools will take their specialized subject exams on May 27th.
