According to the Department of Construction of the province, implementing the direction of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province in Document No. 3706 dated April 25, 2023 on the implementation of the investment project to build a parking lot at the beginning of Prenn Pass, a parking lot combined with a bus station at the intersection of Darahoa and Document No. 6912 dated August 14, 2024 on urgently preparing investment policy proposals for projects eligible to attract investment in the province; The Department of Transport (now the Department of Construction) has submitted Document No. 131 dated March 8, 2024 and Document No. 1301 dated August 20, 2024 to the Provincial People's Committee proposing to arrange funds from the state budget to hire consultants to prepare investment policy proposal documents for the Prenn Pass parking lot project, but the Provincial People's Committee has not yet approved, so the Department has not yet organized the preparation of a report proposing investment policy.

However, up to now, investing in a parking lot combined with the Darahoa intersection bus station and the Prenn pass parking lot is an urgent requirement to solve the traffic congestion problem for Da Lat city and is attracting the attention of many investors .

Therefore , the Department of Construction requests the Department of Finance to consider and promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee for the policy of implementing the report proposing the investment policy for the parking lot project at the beginning of Prenn Pass and approving the investment policy for the parking lot project combined with the Darahoa intersection bus station .

According to the Reports, it is expected that Darahoa bus station will be built in the period of 2025 - 2028. In which, investment preparation and site clearance will be carried out until the fourth quarter of 2025. Construction completion time will not exceed 36 months from the date of land allocation.

This bus station has an area of ​​36.6 hectares in Da Sar commune, Lac Duong district, adjacent to Ward 12, Da Lat city with a total investment of more than 884 billion VND, serving about 817 50-seat passenger cars, 83 minibuses and more than 60 taxis with about 34,727 people including passengers, drivers and service staff.

The Prenn Pass parking lot is built on an area of ​​38 hectares ( in Ward 3, Da Lat City ) and Hiep An Commune ( Duc Trong District ) . The project has a total investment of about 1,000 billion VND. When put into operation, this parking lot will receive passenger cars to and from Da Lat City to the southern provinces and cities.

The above two projects are part of the plan to combat traffic congestion in Da Lat City until 2025 and vision to 2030. Currently, passenger transport businesses to and from Da Lat City must register to operate at the Da Lat inter-provincial bus station. However, this is only a type 2 bus station and has been overloaded for many years. During rush hour, many passenger cars cannot enter the station to pick up and drop off passengers.

This is the main reason why many passenger transport businesses have illegally set up pick-up and drop-off points right on routes in the center of Da Lat, affecting traffic safety and order in recent times.
