On the evening of September 15, at Luu Huu Phuoc Park, Can Tho city, the 5th "Full Moon Festival - Sharing Love" program in 2024 was held in an exciting atmosphere to welcome the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The event is an annual activity on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival organized by the Vietnamese Family Magazine in Can Tho to bring joy and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere to disadvantaged children, while also demonstrating the concern of local authorities and all levels and sectors for the care of children in the city.
Through the program, the Organizing Committee hopes to meet the needs of children in the area to enjoy culture and art, thereby creating a healthy and safe playground for entertainment; contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of families, communities and mass organizations for the work of protecting, caring for andeducating children, ensuring equal rights for all children to participate in recreational activities.
With the theme "Enjoying the Moon with Hang Nga", the 5th Full Moon Festival in 2024 includes many activities: The opening ceremony of the Mid-Autumn Festival, exchange activities, product introduction of nearly 60 gift kiosks, folk games and especially the Art Program with music, circus, ball dance, lion and dragon dance, festival drums, fashion shows...
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented many gifts, scholarships, and bicycles to students who overcame difficulties and studied well; and presented Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to children in difficult circumstances in the area.
The event also launched a response and support for people affected by storm No. 3 by scanning QR codes and transferring money directly to the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City; in addition, the Organizing Committee also arranged booths to receive donations of necessities to support people and communities in disaster areas./.
