On September 10th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a plan to organize the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival in Khanh Hoa.
The festival will take place from October 17th to 19th, 2025, with the participation of nearly 600 artisans, performers, and amateur athletes of the Cham ethnic group from 6 provinces and cities including Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City.
The festival, themed "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Cham ethnic group in the new era," took place at April 16th Square (Phan Rang ward) with many diverse activities.
Highlights include a folk art festival, traditional costume performances, excerpts from Cham rituals, demonstrations of traditional crafts such as brocade weaving and pottery, folk games, and demonstrations of community tourism skills…
Alongside this, there will be a photo exhibition titled "The Cham People Accompanying the Development of the Country" and a workshop titled "Promoting the Value of Cham Cultural Heritage in Tourism Development".
The opening ceremony for cultural, sports, and tourism activities will take place on the morning of October 17th, while the official opening ceremony will be held at 8 PM on the same day. The closing ceremony will be held on the evening of October 19th.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event is an opportunity to honor and introduce the unique traditional cultural values of the Cham people, while promoting the image of Vietnam as rich in identity, unified in diversity, and affirming the Party and State's concern for the preservation and promotion of Cham culture in the context of integration and development.
