National Economics University to increase enrollment by nearly 600 students in 2025.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Compared to last year, the National Economics University has increased its enrollment quota by nearly 600 students this year (approximately 6%). This information was announced by the university this evening (March 28).

Specifically, in 2025, the number of admission codes will be 73, an increase of 7 codes compared to 2024.

Among the 7 new admission codes for 2025, there are 2 majors taught in Vietnamese: International Commercial Law and Labor Relations.

Two advanced training program codes, comprising 5 programs; 3 high-quality training program codes (16 programs).

This year, the total expenditure is 8,500, of which 8,200 is for regular university programs and 300 for university transfer programs.

Thus, compared to 2024 (total target of 7,950), the total target for 2025 will increase by approximately 6%.

The admission method remains the same as in 2024, including: Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training: 3% of the total quota.

Admission is based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores and a combined admission process according to the admission information of the National Economics University: 97%

The admission method combines the following categories of candidates: Candidates with SAT or ACT certificates; Candidates with scores from separate entrance exams; Candidates with international English certificates such as IELTS/TOEFL iBT/TOEIC (4 skills) combined with high school graduation exam scores in 2025; Combined with separate entrance exams.

This year, for the first time, advanced, high-quality training programs are open for enrollment from the start with 5 separate codes (2 codes for advanced training programs and 3 codes for high-quality training programs).

This is different because in 2024, these programs will enroll students after those who have been accepted have already enrolled.

In addition, the school also announced the principles for determining the equivalent conversion of entrance thresholds and admission scores between different admission methods, following the general guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training in the admission regulations, and will announce them immediately after the Ministry of Education and Training issues the guidelines.

The conversion of admission scores between different admission methods and subject combinations will be carried out by universities according to the general guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training and will be announced no later than the time of announcing the minimum quality assurance threshold for admission according to the general plan of the Ministry of Education and Training (expected after the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam are available).

Last year, the National Economics University admitted 7,950 students across 66 majors (60 in 2023), including: 5 technology-related majors: Information Security, Information Systems (taught in Vietnamese); Artificial Intelligence, Data Science , Software Engineering (taught in English); and 1 tourism-related major: Entertainment and Event Management.

This year, the National Economics University also announced the expected tuition fees for its regular undergraduate programs, ranging from 15 to 18 million VND. The tuition fee increase will be a maximum of 10% per year, as per regulations.
