Located approximately 25 km from the center of Dau Tieng town, the Kien An historical forest spans an area of 245 hectares. This area was chosen as a revolutionary base during the resistance against the French.
With its advantageous terrain as an old-growth forest, situated between the Saigon and Thi Tinh rivers, Kien An forest became a prime location of strategic military importance at the northwestern gateway to Saigon.
Along with other resistance bases in Ben Cat, this area became a revolutionary base in the struggle for national liberation, the cradle of the North Ben Cat revolutionary base. The Kien An forest revolutionary base was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a Provincial-level Revolutionary Relic on June 2, 2004.

This is a very valuable historical site, rich in significance for educating younger generations about revolutionary traditions. Important structures have been built to recreate the scenes of cadres and soldiers working and fighting here.
Visiting Kien An forest, amidst the vast green trees, you will witness secret underground tunnels used as meeting places, and see the Hoang Cam kitchen, a style known for its "leaving no trace, cooking without smoke, and speaking without sound." Then, under the canopy of kơ-nia, bời lời, and lim xẹt trees, you will be moved to silence, remembering a heroic era during the war to defend the country as you listen to the tour guide's stories…
Visiting Kien An today, the traces of bomb craters and shrapnel from the past have faded. Kien An is now greener and full of new life. The traditions of Kien An and its lush forests blend with the new rhythm of life of the people in the surrounding area, turning a new page in development and striving for prosperity.
