The threshold to ensure input quality from high school graduation exam scores for admission to university-level health majors and university and college-level teacher training majors in 2024 was announced by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to remain stable as in 2023. Accordingly, the minimum score for majors in the health major group with a practice certificate in all combinations of 3 exam subjects is from 19 points for the majors of Nursing, Preventive Medicine, Midwifery, Dental Prosthetics, Medical Testing, Medical Imaging; Rehabilitation. The majors of Medicine and Dentistry have the highest minimum score (22.5 points). The majors of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy have a minimum score of 21 points.

The majors in the group of university-level teacher training majors in 2024 have a minimum score of 19 points. For the majors of Physical Education Pedagogy, Music Pedagogy, and Fine Arts Pedagogy, the minimum score is 18 points; other admission combinations are implemented according to regulations. The threshold to ensure the quality of admission to the college-level Preschool Pedagogy major is 17 points. This is also the minimum score for the group of teacher training majors of Can Tho University. In addition, some other majors of the school have a minimum score for the admission method based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam ranging from 15 to 19 points.

In the health sector, the University of Public Health recruits candidates with scores from 16 to 16.5 depending on the sector. The two sectors in the group with practice certificates have a minimum score of 19.5 points.

A representative of Hanoi Medical University said that this year, the C00 and D01 groups have higher high school graduation exam scores than last year. In the first year of enrolling students in Psychology, it is predicted that the school's admission score will be higher than other schools that are currently training in this field. Meanwhile, analyzing the B00 group, there are 311 candidates who scored 28.5 points or more (excluding priority and incentive points), so it is predicted that the admission score in the top majors such as Medicine and Dentistry will increase compared to last year's admission score, increasing at a moderate level.

Floor scores of many schools are higher than in 2023

From the score spectrum of subjects and combinations announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, it can be seen that in 2024, the number of candidates with a score of 28 points in group C increased 6 times, 29 points increased more than 10 times, and 30 points increased 54 times compared to 2023. When the number of good and excellent scores had a sudden increase in quantity compared to 2023, universities all predicted that the standard score for group C00 (Literature - History - Geography) this year in many universities will increase sharply.

Specifically, in the group of member schools of Hanoi National University, the University of Law announced the minimum score for admission to the C00 group is 22 points, the remaining groups are 20 points. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities announced the minimum score for admission to the high school graduation exam for 28 majors/training programs is 20 points. This is also the minimum score for 11 majors of the International University.

The University of Natural Sciences announced that the minimum admission score based on the 2024 high school graduation exam results is mostly at 20-21 points for 23 majors of the school. In particular, the 4 majors of Mathematics, Mathematics - Information Technology, Computer Science and Information, and Data Science with a score of 40 (Math score multiplied by coefficient 2, the remaining subjects in the combination multiplied by coefficient 1) will have a minimum score of 30-31 points.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology predicts that the three majors with the highest expected admission scores are Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence with a score of over 28 points. These are also the majors with the highest admission scores in recent years at the school.

Foreign Trade University announced the threshold to ensure input quality for 2 methods of using high school graduation exam scores. Accordingly, the floor score is 24 for the high school graduation exam score method, an increase of 0.5 points compared to 2023 with 3 subjects. If combining the exam score with the international language certificate conversion score, the floor score is from 16 to 17. This is the total of 2 subjects, including Math and one of Physics, Chemistry, Literature, excluding priority points.

Hanoi Law University said that the minimum score for admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam is divided into 3 levels: 15, 18 and 20. Level 20 points applies to candidates applying for admission with combination C00 and 18 for other combinations. For the majors of International Commercial Law and English Language, candidates need to have an English score of 7 or higher. If applying to the school's branch in Dak Lak, candidates with a total score of 15 in 3 subjects are eligible.

Admissions experts note that the floor score is the minimum score that candidates must achieve to register for university admission. The admission score will be announced later. From now until 5:00 p.m. on July 30, the system will officially open for candidates to register for university admission.
