On July 23, the Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense announced the minimum scores for admission applications to military universities and colleges in 2025.
Accordingly, the minimum admission score for military schools based on high school graduation exam results ranges from 14.5 to 23 points.
The Military Science Academy has the highest minimum admission score, requiring female candidates to achieve at least 23 points and male candidates at least 19 points to be eligible to apply.
The admission scores mentioned above are based on a 30-point scale and include priority points.
The minimum admission scores for military schools are as follows:
In 2025, military schools will recruit approximately 4,400 students using three admission methods: direct admission and priority admission according to the university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the regulations of the Ministry of National Defense; admission based on the aptitude test scores organized by Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025; and admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam. Thus, compared to last year, military schools have dropped the method of considering high school transcripts.
Regarding the admission combinations, this year military schools are using 13 combinations. The schools will award bonus points to candidates who have won national, international, or provincial-level academic competitions, and to students with international language certificates equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or SAT 1068/1600.
