Speaking at the commemoration ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Cong Khiet, Director of the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board, emphasized: From the early days when My Son received the title of World Cultural Heritage, leaders at all levels have determined that conservation must be the top priority, conservation must not contradict promotion, conservation must be effective and promotion must be positive.
Proper preservation and promotion should be the most optimal and effective way to ensure that the relics retain their original value and authenticity, based on the preservation principles of the United Nations Convention, Charter, and the Vietnamese Law on Cultural Heritage.

Numerous development programs, plans, and goals have been outlined, and scientific research, restoration, and archaeological work are being carried out simultaneously. International cooperation is a central focus, encompassing many programs and projects.
My Son has achieved extremely important and outstanding results in the restoration of Cham relics in Central Vietnam, becoming a model for restoration nationwide.

In the tourism sector, the focus has been on building and preserving heritage brands to promote sustainable tourism. Investment in heritage promotion has been improved to better suit modern trends. Human resources have been enhanced in both quality and quantity.

Tourism is becoming increasingly modern and environmentally friendly. The scope of tourism is gradually expanding. The number of visitors increases significantly each year, with an average growth of over 10%.

"After 25 years of relentless effort, the conservation and promotion of the My Son World Heritage Site has achieved remarkable success, with My Son developing in a positive and sustainable direction. From a desolate land, a neglected site long ravaged by war bombs, My Son has awakened, becoming a shining example of restoration, preservation, and tourism attraction."
"The value of My Son is becoming increasingly important in the political, economic, and social life of our district. It is a source of pride for the people and a soft power that influences our culture to the outside world," Mr. Khiet shared.

Projects that have been implemented include the restoration and preservation project, the tripartite cooperation between UNESCO, Vietnam, and Italy on "Presentation and training on international standards for the conservation of the G tower group in My Son", the archaeological excavation project at Khe The stream, the restoration project of tower E7, and the conservation and restoration project of tower groups K, H, and A under the Indian project, carried out from 2016 to 2021.
Particularly in the past 25 years, in the field of heritage management, the My Son temple complex has been approved by the Prime Minister with a plan for conservation, restoration, and promotion of the value of world heritage sites, serving as a basis for fulfilling commitments to UNESCO in best protecting the outstanding universal value of the heritage.

Also on the morning of December 3rd, during a meeting with constituents in Quang Nam, Central Committee member and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai, along with the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, visited and surveyed the My Son Sanctuary. The delegation also visited and congratulated the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the My Son Sanctuary being recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
During the survey trip, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai highly appreciated the efforts of the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board in preserving and restoring the tower complexes while promoting the heritage value over the past time. This is a proud achievement after many years of effort in management and preservation, opening up opportunities for the My Son temple complex to be known by international organizations, researchers, archaeologists and a large number of domestic and international tourists.

According to Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai, in recent years, My Son has received very active support from India in archaeological research and heritage preservation. Most importantly, given its existence for hundreds of years, we need to find ways to preserve its cultural and archaeological value for another hundred years. We must strive to attract not only tourists but also researchers and history enthusiasts.
During the inspection and working session, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai requested that officials and leaders of the My Son Cultural Heritage Management Board, as well as local authorities, further strengthen efforts to develop diverse tourism products associated with ecology, and diversify tourism types such as cultural, ecological, and entertainment. He also urged coordination with relevant units to develop sustainable and long-term conservation and promotion solutions for My Son, avoiding negative impacts resulting from unsustainable conservation and promotion processes.

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai also informed about the National Assembly's recent approval of the amended Law on Cultural Heritage, the approval of the investment plan for the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025-2035, and requested local authorities and relevant agencies to study and apply this to the practical work of preserving and developing the My Son cultural heritage site, maximizing the unique cultural and architectural values of the homeland with two heritage sites: My Son and Hoi An ancient town.
