Major Nguyen Dinh Hung, Political Officer of Na Co Sa Border Guard Station, said: "Implementing the campaign 'Promoting the spirit of Dien Bien Phu in peacetime,' supporting the people in digging holes to prepare for planting coffee and macadamia trees according to the crop restructuring project, from the beginning of April to the middle of May 2026 was the peak period when officers and soldiers of Na Co Sa Border Guard Station concentrated their manpower to support families in Na Co Sa 1 and Na Co Sa 2 villages, Quang Lam commune, in digging holes for planting trees."
To ensure timely progress and complete the digging of holes across an area of 80,000 m² (including 4,000 holes), the Na Cô Sa Border Guard Station assigned 15 officers and soldiers to each family to help local people dig holes for planting trees.
In addition, officers and soldiers from the teams went to various villages to disseminate the province's policies; guide the people on how to dig holes correctly and inform them about the right time to plant trees in the right season.

During the peak period of concentrated efforts to dig trenches, the Quang Lam commune experienced successive thunderstorms and strong winds, causing significant damage to crops and people's homes.
In response to this situation, the leadership of the Na Co Sa Border Guard Station proactively deployed forces to prioritize assisting the people in overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster, helping families whose homes were damaged to repair them and have stable housing.
Major Nguyen Dinh Hung said: "Every officer and soldier at Na Co Sa Border Post always prioritizes supporting and caring for the people during natural disasters. Therefore, immediately after the storm that occurred at the end of April 2026, the Post sent 12 officers and soldiers to Huoi Thung 1 village to help the people overcome the consequences, rebuild houses, and stabilize their lives; after that, they continued to go to other villages to help the people dig holes and plant trees."

As one of the many families who received assistance from officers and soldiers of the Na Cô Sa Border Guard Post in rebuilding their homes after the natural disaster, Mr. Giàng A Sinh in Huổi Thủng 1 village, Quảng Lâm commune, could not hold back his emotions when he saw his house restored.
Mr. Giàng A Sinh said: "Thanks to the timely support from the border guards, my family's damaged house was quickly repaired; I no longer have to worry about housing for my wife and children and can focus on digging holes to plant trees in time for the planting season."

Providing further information on border management and protection activities, Major Nguyen Dinh Hung stated: The Na Co Sa Border Guard Post manages 17.369 km of border, encompassing 5 border markers (from marker 36-40) in Quang Lam commune. Recognizing that each resident in the border area is a border marker, the Post always pays attention to improving the lives and raising awareness of law compliance among the people; mobilizing the people's participation in protecting the national border.

The actions of the unit's officers and soldiers, always focused on serving the people, have been recognized and highly appreciated by the local Party committee, government, and people; this is clear evidence of the solidarity between the military and the people in peacetime and a pillar of peace for the people in the border region.
