According to SamMobile , a recently launched app called Beeper Mini, which brings the iMessage interaction capabilities of iPhones to all Android smartphones, has been quite well-received. Following its successful launch, the developers of Beeper Mini have revealed some ambitious plans to integrate FaceTime, RCS, and SMS into their app.
Therefore, Android phone users may soon be able to use FaceTime calls with iPhone, iPad, and Mac users from their smartphones and tablets.
Beeper Mini enables Android phones to interact with Apple's iMessage.
Accordingly, Beeper revealed that the Beeper Mini will receive even more features in the near future. The company aims to bring FaceTime video and audio calls to the Beeper Mini. The team will even bring SMS and RCS support to the app. RCS messaging is gaining more attention now that Apple has announced it will open this technology to iPhones next year. Beeper also stated that they have big plans to integrate Signal and WhatsApp into their app.
The Beeper Mini development team revealed on Reddit that iMessage and RCS will coexist within their app on the same phone. Additionally, the app will offer more features, such as chat history import, chat backup import/export, Android chat bubbles, a user interface optimized for foldable phones and tablets, message scheduling, and block lists.
Beeper's upcoming development roadmap
In the future, Beeper Mini will be renamed Beeper, while the current Beeper app will be renamed Beeper Cloud, although that app may be discontinued in the future. However, the company has not provided an exact release date for the new features.
