Many different emotions

In the heart of Ho Chi Minh City on the night of May 30th, hundreds of passionate Arsenal fans filled the space for a football viewing event in Ben Nghe Ward. Sitting in front of the LED screen, their hearts beat as one, all looking forward to a new chapter in the history of the London team.

Twenty long seasons have passed since that night at the Stade de France in 2006, and the team from the Emirates Stadium is once again in a UEFA Champions League final, standing before the opportunity to lift the prestigious silver trophy for the first time.

For over 120 breathtaking minutes at their meeting point, Arsenal fans experienced a rollercoaster of emotions. They erupted in joy when Kai Havertz opened the scoring early, clutched their heads in disappointment at missed opportunities, felt immense anxiety when PSG equalized (thanks to Ousmane Dembele's penalty), and breathed a sigh of relief after opposing players' shots went wide... And finally, when the final whistle blew, those emotions culminated in regret and tearful eyes. The English team once again missed out on the European championship, losing 3-4 to PSG in a tense penalty shootout (after a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes).

Arsenal lost to PSG in the Champions League final, manager Arteta 'painful, that's all'.

Amidst the stunned crowd, actor Nguyen Phuong Nam – a face that left a strong impression on viewers in the film "Red Rain" – also stood there in a daze. A die-hard fan who has supported Arsenal for the past two decades, the actor also experienced the same emotional ups and downs as hundreds of other supporters. "I feel truly sad and disappointed, because it's been a very long time since Arsenal reached the final, since 2006. Every year in my life is enough to witness many things, let alone an entire team that has gone through so many generations of players. It's truly a pity for Arsenal. For me, and probably for many others, I will lose sleep tonight," Phuong Nam expressed after the UEFA Champions League 2025-2026 final.

Arsenal will be stronger.

Losing on penalties is always a cruel ending, but it's something we have to accept. The joy is not complete for Arsenal and their fans. Nevertheless, the road ahead for the "Gunners" is still long and full of promise.

Arsenal fans understand that this team knows how to rise stronger after every setback. The convincing Premier League title after a 22-year wait, along with their runner-up finish in this season's Champions League, could be the starting point for a new era of success for the Emirates Stadium team under manager Mikel Arteta.
