Recently, doctors at the Adolescent Health Department of the National Children's Hospital received and treated several cases of students admitted with symptoms of fatigue, stress, and constant anxiety.

Dr. Ngo Anh Vinh, Deputy Head of the Adolescent Health Department at the National Children's Hospital, said that both child patients were diagnosed by doctors with psychological disorders related to intense academic pressure.
According to Dr. Vinh, in 2022, the Adolescent Health Department of the National Children's Hospital conducted a study on psychological disorders in students at several junior high schools in Hanoi (from grades 6 to 9). The results showed that anxiety symptoms accounted for 38% of children, followed by stress at 33% and depression at 26.1%.
At the National Children's Hospital, among the children who come for examination and treatment due to symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress, many are considered well-behaved and have good academic achievements.
These children often put pressure on themselves to maintain a certain image in front of friends, family, and teachers, leading them to constantly strive for improvement. This can easily cause them stress, anxiety, fatigue, and even depression, especially when they don't meet expectations.
The causes of this disorder are often: an overwhelming amount of knowledge to learn, inadequate preparation for exams, unstable mental state, and pressure from school and parents.
